Good morning & happy Sunday I woke up to a lovely review left for us on Google this morning which made me so happy! Being a brand new brick & mortar shop means we don’t have many reviews which help people find us when coming to Merrickville. I’m wondering if anyone has a spare moment to leave a Google review for our shop it would really have a big impact for us. Currently we only have 3 and one is from my husband who indeed loves the shop, but it’s best when it’s from y...ou, my amazing customers. The last few days have been incredible to open and get to see so many happy faces from our community and who have been sweet customers of P&M. Every moment it seems more happy things arrive in the shop. New dried floral arrangements, pottery, paintings and succulent gardens from our artisans. I’m so in love with the large Moroccan Market shopping baskets with leather handles ... You’ll also notice a new line of preserves featuring vanilla plum jam, salted caramel apple jam, pear and balsamic jam as well as tomato jam. We have several new lines of all natural dried fruit, protein bars, gummy candies and maple syrups/butters and sweets. So many lovely items found new homes to add some cheer to today. Thank you so very much to everyone who came in or placed an order on our first day back. The Animal Rescue rubber boots were a huge hit and I’m just so tickled so many were snapped up. It warms my heart how many of my followers hold animals in such high regard. Thank you! Tomorrow is the last day for deliveries. Starting next week we will have shipping available at a click of a button, no matter where you live. ...Orders place up until midnight tonight will be delivered to your porch tomorrow. You can do something big or you can do something small. But whatever you do is better than nothing at all. Want to hear a story? A few months ago I ordered a few dozen pairs of beautiful yellow rubber boots in all different patterns. Yellow poka dot, yellow stripes, solid yellow, and yellow daisies. I thought they would be the perfect little cheerful item to add to the shop. When my giant box of boots arrived, every single pair was the same pattern of cats and dogs. I laughe...d and thought what a perfect opportunity to help some furry friends. Ever since I was a young girl, I loved animals. I would volunteer to walk dogs at the Brockville SPCA after school and on weekends. Our own sweet Bella, a giant St Bernard/Golden cross was rescued 9 years ago in Calgary when she was found wandering a hi-way as a pup. Adopting Bella has been such a gift to us and anyone who’s met our sweet gentle giant. It breaks my heart what a scary start in life she had, just like so many other dogs and cats who are abandoned, homeless or abused. It’s thanks to the angels who run shelters like Lanark Animal Welfare Society that so many voiceless furry friends are given a chance at life and to find a forever family. I decided these boots are adorable to any animal lover to walk their dog, garden, do chores or simply a stylish pair to enjoy this Spring!
