On New Years day, I got out to play some polar pickleball with some friends. The sun was shining, the hot chocolate warmed the cold hands, and many rallies were had by all. Last year we had to shovel the small amount of ice and snow off before we played. Here's a picture from some friends in Windsor Ontario. Now that is Polar Pickleball.
Happy Thanksgiving from Pickleball International! When you are sitting around this weekend enjoying family and feasts, remember Pickleball International is your Canadian Pickleball supplies source...and that's no TURKEY!
Hey Pickleballers...Question??? How many pickleball programs in Canada regularly include youth under 18? At this past years Canadian national pickleball tournament July 2013, there were 6 young men who participated in Canada's first ever Jr. Doubles. Gold went to Spencer Loughlin & Jimmy Ahn, Silver went to Brandon Kirk & Ryan Rizzo, and Bronze went to Brayden Letray & Samuel Brittain, all of Abbotsford, BC. It was a small division, which again asks the question...do any pickleball programs in Canada admit, encourage and train players under 18? (**By the way the bronze medal winners were 11 years old, and held their own very well against the much older, and larger young men.)** What a future for our sport to encourage youngsters to join in an amazing sport. What can we do?
