Indoor pickleball in Carleton Place 2020! Carambeck Community Centre. Starting Monday Feb 3rd 1-3 pm. Every Monday and Thurs 1-3 pm. $5 drop in. All welcome!

We are working with the Town of Carleton Place to bring back indoor pickleball. Monday and Thursday afternoons, 1-3 pm, Carembeck Community Centre. (There is evening pickleball in Almonte, Tues and Wed evenings). Now we can play 4 times/week - my retirement dreams are coming true. Stay tuned for Start date

Just emailed the town of Carleton Place. They are getting pickleball lines at Carambeck Community Centre! (Jan 10, 2020). Mornings and/or afternoons. Too cool! Hold on for more details!

We play pickleball in Almonte - Holy Name of Mary School, every Tues & Wed 5:45 - 9 pm. For beginners, we reserve one court for one hour (5:45 - 6:45). One court is also reserved for the last hour for fast play. Demo paddles available to try, Canadian made paddles for sale. Come and play! Stay sharp and in shape! (School closed over Christmas break)

Please note: if you are playing pickleball at Holy Name of Mary School, Almonte, doors will lock at 6 pm. Try to be there by 5:45 to make sure you are not locked out.

Sorry to everyone tonight. Pickleball was cancelled due to the lack of custodian at Holy Name of Mary school. I got an email at 8:15 pm, informing me of this. Wednesday night should be rockin'!

With any luck, we won't get snowed/rained/iced out tomorrow night and Wed night (Feb19/20) for evening Pickleball in Almonte. Come!

We will be welcoming 4 new players this week. Please be kind and help them along. Reminder that the far court is reserved for new players for the first hour. To be fair to the experienced players - we are now reserving the close court for intermediate (3.5) and higher rated players for the last hour.

Even in the deep cold of winter, we have lots of people committed to their addiction of pickeball. 19 players - 4 new - rounded out the gathering last Wednesday. Come and play!

We celebrated our last night (until the fall) at Pickleball Almonte with a Fun Tournament, where everyone played everyone, and everyone had a different partner for every game. 2 groups of 12. 11 games, 7 minutes each. It was fast and furious, and brought out high quality play. And fun. Lots of smiling.
