There are a couple of looks at the vineyard in this video!
Devon has her own vineyard so she is bound to fit right in!
Send someone to visit the island and see the vineyard!
A little late, but this was the fourth month (August) of development - the colouring (veraison) begins.
And another month goes by. Wee grapes abound!

One month later and they are greening up nicely!
Pruned and tied down and ready to grow. Great recovery from last September’s hurricane . Hoping for a bumper crop this October.
Still not ripe. Damn you Dorian!
Two years ago, CBC was here to film a documentary on the island and they sent me this footage of the Loft in the Vineyard and all the vines.
The Loft in the Vineyard!

The Pictou Island Heritage Society is holding a full-day event to celebrate the grand opening of the Pictou Island Heritage Site on Saturday, July 27th. The Her...itage Site was built as a permanent display for the Pictou Island ice boat, last operated in 1951 by Eddie "Spike" Macdonald to carry mail across the Northumberland Strait to the Mainland. In addition to the Iceboat, the site also includes artifacts and small displays dedicated to preserving the heritage and history of the Pictou Island community. Tickets to Heritage Day are $20 each and include chartered ferry service to and from the Pictou Island, as well as a boxed lunch. Boxed lunch will be available separately for $5 for non-ticket holders. Activities during the day include a grand opening ceremony of the Heritage Site, a scavenger hunt tour of the Island, and a musical event created and organized by Sheila Brand. The chartered ferry will be leaving the Caribou wharf promptly at 9:00 am and will be departing Pictou Island at the end of the day at 5:00 pm. Ticket holders should be present at the Caribou wharf for 8:45 am and anticipate a 5:45 pm arrival back to the Mainland. Tickets are available at the Northumberland Fisheries Museum, Sharon's Place Restaurant, and the Pictou Veterinary Clinic. Contact Brenda Spence-McLeod for more information at 902-759-4198. See more
