One of our greatest accomplishments as a company is employing great people and running great equipment. In order to keep the equipment in top notch shape we are always replacing our fleet with the newest models. Currently we have a surplus of equipment we are looking to sell off to make room for the newest stuff. We currently have the following for sale and more is being added to the list everyday:... We do some pretty cool stuff day to day but it seems like our drill team usually takes the cake in this department. We are currently drilling 18.5m deep under the Red Deer River with a double compound curve. We used a 8 3/4 inch PDC drill bit in front of a 6 1/2 inch mud motor. Steering was done by Brownline with A Gyro tool wire line system. The wire runs down our drill pipe to the steering tool and communicates back to a data van for steering. Pilot hole is done and we are reaming a 20 hole right now going up to a 32 to pull back 24 poly under the red deer river with a 36 casing.

It has been a crazy year so far, thus giving more reason to take some time for the little things. This year we are thankful for all of our great employees, our friends and families. We hope everybody has a great thanksgiving.

Finally with some relatively dry weather we are able to start with some summer work (even though it’s almost September). I gotta say these new D6 dozers are gorgeous but nothing makes it look better then a special edition plaque! We are honoured to have the opportunity to own this dozer. Caterpillar released 3 dozers to celebrate their 175,000 elevated sprocket medium track type-tractor and we received #3 of 3. There are a couple small differences including Black tracks and Black blade as well as 175,000 stickers and plaque on inside of dozer. Congratulations to Caterpillar on an amazing accomplishment and thank you to Finning Canada for giving us the opportunity to get our hands on this dozer. I get lots of awesome pictures of our fleet from employees and people who just like seeing our fleet running around. However no DM was cooler then the one I received from Dave last week. Dave and his boys Shaun and Cole found this truck rotting away in a farmers field. Dave reached out just to show me the unit but we just had to bring it home. Unit #6 still runs and actually cleaned up alright! (Merv is convinced it was his truck because it still runs ) Very cool to have a 40 year piece of Pidherney’s history returning home. Pidherney’s has been in business for a long time (over 55 years to be specific). We often talk about how great our equipment, trucks and staff are but one thing I may have neglected to inform you of is our safety program. Our safety is second to none and with the new challenges of covid we have adapted and gone nearly paperless when required.
