End of day 2 in Xining. Had a nice ride out to Ta'er Monastery today on the bike and visited the Grand Central Mosque yesterday. Back on the road tomorrow and just 2 decent days riding away from Qinghai Lake, the largest lake in China. The sights surrounding this great salt lake should be amazing with everything from yaks and ethnic Mongol and Tibetan nomads, to grasslands, bird sanctuaries, and all with the captivating Qilian Mountains serving as a backdrop. In the meantime, here are a few photos of the past couple of days.

A long overdue visit to my photography page. So to break the ice, here is a set of photos from my first bike trip in China. 285k in three days from Anhai to Sanming.

Photo of the Week This weeks photo takes a look back to the summer of 2013 and my vacation in Southeast Asia. The photo is at Kwangsi Waterfall near Luang Prabang in northern Laos. In lower pools swimming was allowed and the small fish would nibble at the dead skin on the bottoms of your feet. A very strange and delightful feeling.
