Donation to Pigeon Lake Santa’s Elves was made yesterday and they were beyond happy!!! Our donation made it possible to purchase 20 food hampers for those in ne...ed in our community!! Members decided to donate a portion of their calf cheques last year to help those in need in our community. We had a couple members who volunteered yesterday wrapping, loading and unloading boxes of toys and food and helping prepare hampers!! Was a wonderful day of giving back to our great community that does so much for our club. This year this event definitely looked different with social distancing but was still a wonderful experience and brings such a wonderful feeling to ones self after leaving and knowing we did a little something to make sure everyone in our community has a special Christmas Day. Santa’s elves wrapping dates: Friday December 18 and Saturday December 19. If you are available to donate your time for wrapping gifts please book a date and time. Adults and children welcome. Wrapping will be done at the Ma-Me-O Beach Community Hall.... We will be following COVID guidelines for distancing, numbers and cleaning. MUST BOOK AHEAD. Because of our new reality in 2020 with COVID-19, the Florence Riske caregiver award will take on a new process. Our society will recognise chosen individuals in our community who have been essential caregivers during this difficult time. Instead of a party, we are providing them with a thank you gift certificate.
