I LOVE PILATES BECAUSE it truly is for everyone! What excited me 14 years ago when I became certified as a Pilates Instructor was how versatile and adaptable Pilates was, for all ages, levels and abilities. Its about moving with ease, and the ability to do the things you love in your life.

Welcome to April I hope you are all well and managing through these challenging times. Its nice to see the sunshine! We held our first online Restorative Pilates class this morning via Zoom! It was so nice to see so many smiling faces that Ive missed the past 2 weeks. I will be offering another class next week. If you are interested in being added to my email list drop me a line. This week in our classes we will be focusing on the muscles that support the knees. Keeping the muscles and joints that support the knees healthy and strong will help to prevent future injuries and relieve current pain or strain. See you in class!

I highly recommend Megan Gilchrist Manual Therapy. Megan is currently in her 4th and final year studying Manual Therapy & Functional Anatomy. She is currently providing manual therapy part time and I highly recommend her services. This type of therapy focusing on the fascia is effective for many ailments involving the spine, hips, shoulders, upper and lower extremities and is the perfect compliment to your Pilates program.
Is stretching the best option for tight hips??? Exercises that provide mobility & strength create stability in our hips and enable us to do the things we love without pain. Hope you have fun enjoying the things you love this beautiful weekend!

Great tricep strengthener. I know many of you worry about the underside of your arm wagging or jiggling when you wave, but thats perfectly normal. When we wave our bicep muscle is active, but our tricep muscle is fairly relaxed. So dont worry! But this exercise sequence will definitely help you strengthen that tricep area of your arm!

Shovelling snow or have a sore lower back??? Get some relief for your lower back with this version of the childs pose stretch that we frequently do in Pilates class. It will stretch the QL (Quadratus Lumborum) , a muscle frequently used while shovelling.
