Pilgrim United Church 23.01.2021

CLOSED: Due to the current Provincial Health Emergency, Pilgrim United Church will be closed until at least the first week of March. An update on the reopening will be posted by February 28, 2021. The Church Board has been constantly monitoring the COVID situation in Edmonton and we’ve always believed and continue to believe that we have a safe process for holding services. Alberta still has high levels of COVID spread though and while the Government is starting a phased reo...pening of the economy, our Board is taking a wait and see approach, given the new strains of COVID-19 in our province. We will revisit the state of the pandemic in Alberta at our February 24, 2021 Unified Board of Directors Meeting. Our Board feels a strong duty to do our part for the congregation and our community. We understand how disappointing this can be but in these most unusual times we need to follow every safety measure being asked of all Albertans and show that we are working together with them to be successful. The path back to a safe community will only be successful if we all work together.

Pilgrim United Church 29.11.2020

The Unified Board of Pilgrim United Church has voted to keep the church closed until the first week of February. A further update on a reopening time will be posted here on Facebook as well as on our webpage at www.pilgrimunitedchurch.com. The Church Board has been constantly monitoring the COVID situation in Edmonton and we’ve always believed and continue to believe that we have a safe process for holding services. Alberta still has high levels of COVID spread though and the... Government is continuing a general lockdown. They have said that churches can remain open and we could do so but our Board feels a strong duty to do our part for the congregation and our community. We understand how disappointing this can be but in these most unusual times we need to follow every safety measure being asked of all Albertans and show that we are working together with them to be successful. The path back to a safe community will only be successful if we all work together. See more
