Happy Earth Day! In honour of Earth Day we’re sharing some of our favourite ways you can reuse your candle jars: -toiletry items like cotton swabs, cotton balls, etc... -pen & marker holder -pantry staples like baking supplies, seeds, and more You could even use your jar for small plants, herbs, or a candy jar! Did you know your pretty used candle jars can be cleaned and reused? & it’s easy to do too! Here’s our favourite way to clean a candle jar: -if you have any leftover wax in the jar, run hot water along the bottom & sides of the jar. This will help loosen the wax. -using a butter knife breakup the leftover wax. It should come out easily.... -since soy wax is biodegradable you can scoop it into the compost! -use a butter knife to get under the wick base & remove it from the jar. Discard the tab. -the hot water should also help loosen the label and caution label on the bottom. -place the jar in hot soapy water, wash, and dry! And voila you’ll have a nice clean jar to reuse! MEET THE MAKERS: CLARISSA Clarissa is a loving wife and fur-mom to her kitty, Frankie, and puppy, Poppy. Clarissa loves candles because they have the ability to instantly make your space feel cozy, warm, and inviting. She also loves that certain scents spark memories creating the feeling of nostalgia. Besides candles, Clarissa loves cooking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her favourite people. In her free time, you'll find her curled up on the couch with a good cup of coffee and a cozy candle. @1.7acres

MEET THE MAKERS: ASHLEY Ashley loves the smell of hot coffee, baked goods, fresh oranges, warm vanilla, and classic peppermint - though not all at once! She is excited by how many scent possibilities there are for candles, and looks forward to creating the perfect scent to match every occasion, mood, or activity. When she’s not smelling candles she’s playing fetch with her dog, watering one of her many plants, hiking with her husband, reading a book, or perfecting her chocolate chip cookie recipe. @ashley.stro

MEET THE MAKERS: JOY Joy has always been on the hunt for a really great smelling, clean burning candle. She has a candle lit constantly and loves the warmth and therapeutic feel the flicker of the candle flame brings, with just the right hint of scent. Joy loves spending time with her fun, witty husband of almost 30 years and her family! She is a proud mom to Ashley and Aaron, a blessed mother-in-law to Mark and Clarissa, and a fur-mom to her sassy Westie Maggie. @joyandmaggie

WAX MELTS // We recommend using 1-2 cubes at a time, depending on the size of your wax melt and the strength of scent you are looking for. They can be reused several times until the fragrance has fully evaporated out of the wax. Remember to keep the wax melting vessel in a safe location and to not have it turned on for more than a couple hours at a time (and follow all the instructions provided for the wax melting vessel you are using!). We’ve got wax melts left in two of our favourite Christmas scents (sugared evergreen & swirled peppermint)! Have any questions about wax melts? Ask them in the comments!
