Started work on this cottage bathroom renovation only to find significant mouse infiltration and water damage. The structure had been "fixed" by the previous owner. The structural deterioration was significant enough to require a whole new load bearing wall be built before the bathroom could be completed. A new window and foam insulation finished off this unexpected addition to the bathroom makeover

The builder grade mantle that came with the house just wasn't making these clients happy. We removed the existing mantle, leveled the fireplace framed a proper header to carry the load bearing wall, re-insulated and then built this new mantle using cultured stone and a locally sourced barn beam. Special attention to detail was given to the hearth to produce a more natural finish giving this fireplace its unique one of a kind character.

A large master ensuite renovation that included complete removal of all existing components. The floor plan and location of all plumbing fixtures were changed to give this new bathroom a more modern and functional layout. New tile floor with in-floor heat and pot lights helped to complete the updated look and feel.

We see some pretty astonishing things while renovating older homes. Often the trip to the lumber yard turns out to have some some good laughs. I think this vehicle is channeling its inner unicorn.

The client wanted to keep as "open" a feeling as possible yet meet the requirements of having a fence around the pool. The Hybrid system of glass and cedar panels that we designed made a very happy client!
