This year's Halloween Haunting will be Saturday October 25th mark it on your calendars Kiddies Halloween fun from noon until 4pm and terrifying haunting at night 8pm to midnight! More details to come...

Une nouvelle visite de retour à Pine Lodge (Bristol ,QC ). Lors de notre première Investigation en mars 2013, léquipe de Bytown Paranormal avait été confro...ntée à plusieurs reprises à des manifestations étranges. Cependant, étant donné que deux personnes étaient alors hébergés dans létablissement,, ces manifestations nont pas été prises en considération compte tenu de la possibilité dune contamination due au bruit. Cette fois-ci par contre, les seules personnes présentes sur les lieux étaient notre client e léquipe de Bytown, deux journalistes et un photographe professionnel. Nous avions en plus un accès complet à la totalté du bâtiment , soit le sous-sol, létage principal, le 2 ème étage où se trouvaient les chambres et, finalement le 3ème étage où sont réparties 16 pièces vides. Les enregistrements effectués vont être examinés méthodiquement et nous devrions avoir des résultats dans un délai de lordre de deux semaines. Restez donc à lécoute. En attendant, veuillez trouver ci-dessous un historique de ce magnifique bâtiment. PINE LODGE ( Connu sous le nom d Hôtel Splendide dans les années 1930 HISTORIQUE DU LIEU La station Pine Lodge couvre un total de 435 acres et le terrain a été vendu à la famille Russell qui était originaire dEcosse pour un montant de $ 1900 en 1919. Il fut plus précisément acquis par Charles Russell alors âgé de 19 ans. Charlie acheta la scierie appartenant à A.F.Campbell & Sons à Arnprior et sinstalla à Bristol. Une petite cabane en rondins fut amenée de la ferme Russell et installée sur le terrain de 435 acres.Elle prit de lampleur au fil des ans jusquà ce que Pine Lodge devienne ce quelle est aujourdhui. Si jen crois ce que jai pu trouver, la structure même du bâtiment a été finalisée en 1930. Toutefois, la famille Thompson (propriétaire actuel des lieux) na pas cessé de de le rénover depuis son acquisition. Charlie construisit également plusieurs petits chalets en rondins pour les employés de la scierie - il y en a aujourdhui environ 34 sur le côté sud-ouest de la Loge. Joe, le frère de Charlie, avait lhabitude denvoyer ses contacts de travail de Montréal à Bristol où ils séjournaient à la Lodge. Joe suggéra à Charlie de construire un parcours de golf de 9 trous pour distraire les visiteurs. Dautres chalets furent construits de façon à pouvoir héberger tous les visiteurs. Un court de tennis était également ajouté, ainsi que des étables pour abriter les chevaux. Charlie Russell épousa Emily Revell le 24 Novembre 1928. Ils eurent quatre enfants: Doris, Eleonor, John et Shirley. Il est intéressant de noter quau Tee # 2 du terrain de golf, on trouve les restes d un chalet qui servait dhabitation à la famille quand Charlie entreprit la construction de Pine Lodge. Plus tard, toute la famille vint sinstaller dans un appartement au troisième étage de Pine Lodge. Charlie Russell avait également une petite forge située près de la grange qui est toujours debout, en face du green Tee #2. derrière lhôtel. Charlie faisait également du sirop dérable. Le bâtiment où se faisait lévaporation est encore sur pied aujourdhui, en face de la maison de John et Dawn Thompson - les actuels propriétaires - sur la gauche. En 1954, John, le fils de Charlie, John, trouvait une mort tragique dans un accident dautomobile à la suite de quoi Charlie revendit létablissement à son neveu Jack Russell et à Victor Parsons qui devait le gérer en partenariat avec lui jusquen 1967. En 1968, il fut loué pour une durée dun an à Al Connelly. Le 1er Janvier 1969, Chris and Lois Thompson achetait Pine Lodge qui est toujours la propriété de la famille Thompson aujourdhui. Mr. Thompson est décédé depuis quelque temps déjà. Le Lodge est maintenant gérée par le fils de Mr Chris Thompson, Mr John Thompson secondé par ses deux fils Jason et Adam. Les Thompson sont actuellement propriétaires du bâtiment historique où les rondins en cèdre qui se trouvent dans le restaurant baptisé Charlie's Roadhouse proviennent de la maison originale construite par le grand père de Charlie, alors que le bois dans la salle à manger (la plus petite me semble-t-il) provient de la grange de son grand père dont le bois a été coupé au moins un siècle avant lexistence du Lodge Pine Lodge a bien changé au fil des ans. A lorigine, le restaurant Charlies Roadhouse était une vieille salle de dance (une raison de plus pour expliquer le nombre important de clients qui passaient par là à lépoque) et au rez-de-chaussée se trouvait une cantine et deux allées de bowling. Enfin, un court de tennis se trouvait à lemplacement actuel du terrain de stationnement.

We were thrilled with the outcome and have already started planning to make next year bigger and better! Darkness has fallen over Pine Lodge, stranger and unexplained happenings have been occurring all weekend. With less than a week to go guests beware you are in for a scare!!!!!

Little goblins and ghouls get ready to bob for apples, Coronation Hall will be joining the Pine Lodge Haunting event during the day again this year! Good ol' fashioned fun!

New confirmed addition to all the Halloween fun, paranormal investigators (or ghost hunters) will be on site both during the day and night to talk about what they do and to take people on an investigation! Not to be missed!

Haunted Horse Wagon Rides 2 Haunted Houses Pumpkin Decorating A Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt A Costume Contest with outstanding prizes (to be announced) A Pumpkin Recipe Bake off Face Painting and stay tuned to hear about all of the other activities to be announced closer to the day.... AT NIGHT: (warning these activities are not for little ones) What will be happening? Two terrifying walks in and around Pine Lodge A Masquerade Ball (18+) A Costume Contest with terrific prizes (to be announced) and much more spooky fun in the works with details to come closer to the day! So stay tuned..... Admission for both day and night is $5 with proceeds from this event going towards our Local Bristol Volunteer Fire Department!
