Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin-Caledon, makes special mention of PRI at Queen's Park On March 7, 2018 all members of the Progressive Conservative (PC) Caucus used their time in Question Period to highlight the failing mental health system in Ontario. Our MPP and Deputy House Leader Sylvia Jones called on the Minister of Health to match the $1.9 billion federal transfer for mental health services and make the largest investment in mental health services in Canadian provincial ...history. Ms Jones made special mention of Pine River Institute that is providing fantastic mental health and addiction treatment in our community. You can hear her speech here: https://www.facebook.com//vb.1424251941/2055790538025604/ Sylvia Jones has been a loyal supporter of PRI. She was first elected as the MPP for Dufferin-Caledon in October 2007, just over a year after PRI opened its doors. She spoke at our 2014 ribbon-cutting event to celebrate our purchase of the campus property, and attended our 10th anniversary gala in Toronto in May 2017.

Today is #BellLetsTalk Day. It’s a fact: One in five Canadians will suffer from mental illness at some point in their lifetime. One of the biggest hurdles for anyone suffering from mental illness is overcoming the stigma. It is the number one reason why two-thirds of those living with a mental illness do not seek help. Check out this quick video and show your support. https://www.facebook.com/BellLetsTalk... Learn more about Pine River Institute here: www.pineriverinstitute.com
