Not all ice is safe to walk on. Moving water can melt ice from below, creating weak spots. Enjoy the beauty of winter from solid ground. #NoIceIsSafeIce
If you live nearby and are planning a hike or snowshoe in the Park, please stay on designated walking trails. Hiking and snowshoeing causes damage to the snow conditions on ski trails. Designated walking trails are Cedar and Heritage. We're counting on everyone to do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by following the advice of public health officials. Only visit provincial parks or conservation reserves close to home for day-use, and do not travel outside of your area.
From all of us here at Pinery, we would like to say thank you to our visitors for a great 2020 season! We saw familiar faces, and welcomed new ones. We faced challenges, and you showed us patience. Thank you for visiting Pinery and we hope to see you again in 2021! Although Pinery remains open for day-use and camping all year, we will be signing off of social media until the new year. We will not be responding to social media messages until mid-January. If you need to reach the park, you can do so by calling 519-243-2220.
If you are local and planning a visit, please be advised our day use hours are now 8am-8pm.
As of January 21, campground and backcountry campsites and roofed accommodations (including cabins, yurts and cottages) at Ontario Parks will be closed during t...he current provincial restriction period in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and support Ontario’s stay-at-home order. Provincial parks and conservation reserves continue to be available for local and safe day use activities, such as: walking/ hiking cross-country skiing snowshoeing skating We're counting on everyone to do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by following the advice of public health officials. Not ready to disconnect from the camping season? Why not hold on a little longer with a bed time story about Camping! #NationalChildDay https://bit.ly/2IUSUY7
Did you know that all of the trail heads in Pinery have boot brushes? By brushing your boots before and after each hike you can help us stop the spread of invasive species! #TakeAHikeDay
