Canva is an essential design platform that started from the idea to make design simple. If anyone has played around with Photoshop, you know how much weight her vision had How it came to be is a remarkable story. Back in 2013, Melanie Perkins learned kite surfing as a fundraising strategy. She needed money to help her start-up grow but had trouble making the connections. There was a kite surfing group of venture capitalists in Australia and learning how to kite surf gave h...er a seat at the table. This led to the connections needed which helped land her funding to grow Canva to what it is today. Fast forward to the present, she has won the prestigious @forbes Top 30 under 30 award (for the decade), her business grew a remarkable 130% over last year and she has 55 million active users of which 3 million of them are paid subscribers. Her goal and vision has not changed and is still centred around making a product that people love. Talk about a complete inspiration! Let us know how Canva has changed business for you.
