I have special new to share and I’m ready to tell the whole world because I’m so happy and proud . Hilary Lunn has been with me for almost 15 months. She was brand new in the industry fresh out of school . With absolute patience, hard work and dedication I am so pleased to announce that she will be taking control of her own business behind the chair.... . It’s a big deal for a stylist to say she’s on chair rent. It’s liberating, and it’s something that most stylists’ try so hard to achieve. . Proud is almost an understatement. I can’t wait to see where this young stylist is in the future if this is what she can do in such a short time. . 2020 has been such a crazy year but we continue to see the bright side . Welcome to the salon business world Hil xo #salonbusiness #salonlife #halifaxsalon #sackvillesalon #sackvillehair #sackvillehairsalon #sackvillehairstylist See more

Hey everyone!! Big News!! As you can imagine, I am getting absolutely flooded with texts, emails and DM’s as the premier just announce June 5th we are allowed to open. Please keep in mind, as a business owner I’m also a mom and with limited childcare. We are still getting it all sorted!! And how to develope the hours of the salon for safety.... I understand you all need us, We need you!! How will booking look? We will start by the first week missed which is March 23rd to the 27th and work forward. It’s the only fair way to make it happen. We also have to take into account how our salon is going to work in terms of how long we will need for sanitation in between clients. So booking times will be affected. Please if you haven’t heard from me with in a week you can check back, but please understand it’s not I’m neglecting, I’m genuinely just trying to keep up. Thank you so much for all your love and support xoxox You’ll hear from me soon xo Pink Elephant Girls

Attn Clients: . Yesterday over 1000 beauty industry personal took part in a zoom call with the @cosmetologyassociationofns and @maritimebeautysupply. They gave us our revised guidelines that are mandatory and suggested. It was a great informative session with lots of questions asked, because as you know we work so closely with all of you each appointment and there are some new rules we have to implement right away. . Even though we still want our environment to be a relaxin...g and inviting place, we also want it to be as safe as possible for everyone . As we continue to make our work space exceed the new mandatory guidelines, we do remain CLOSED at this time until we get the final word from our government. But it sure does feel like it’s getting closer (with no exact date) . We were given printable signage to help guide ourselves and clients . Over the next couple weeks we will update our clients with the new rules of the salon and while a COVID-19 plan is put in place for our workspace. We will also be in touch about HOW we are going to book everyone back fairly. . Stay safe everyone, we love you and like we’ve said for months now... Can’t wait to see you!! Upon realizing that there could be a very small chance we go back to work in a month, Craig and I decided that for everyones safety it was best to have more space in the salon. It’s something we’ve wanted to do, but now it comes down to complete safety. . We will work for the next (how ever long we have) to ensure our hair space is ready and one of the safest places to come back to get your hair done. . I’m sure you guys are all aware how serious I take disinfection and sanit...ation between each client on a regular basis. Now we will be learning ways to make us even better. . Can’t wait to see all of you sooner than later ...... Miss all of our conversations and look forward to when we can open our doors to you xo . *Pink Elephant Update* ........................................ It has been brought to my attention that some of you are hearing other stylists going back to work. . I’d like to clarify a couple things. We would love with our whole heart to go back to work, but we will not be returning until we are permitted by our Health Commissioner of Nova Scotia.... . Not abiding by the rules set in place, we could still obtain a $7500 fine for opening at this time . I have tried to ease my booking for May by booking some of you that were previously booked in April/March. Unfortunately it is not looking like I will be opening the salon in May. It’s still unknown. . We will follow all protocol and take appropriate measures to ensure everyones safety. . In doing so, until the forsiable future The Pink Elephant will remain closed until we are allowed to open our doors. . At this time I will refrain from making any appointments until we are advised to do so. Booking for uncertainty has just proven to be more difficult for our schedules. . Here is hoping we get some light shed soon and we can have you back in the salon sooner than later. . I will you keep you informed with any updates I receive. Right now we are learning proper protocol and strict safety measures salons will have to take. If we are even allowed back sooner than later. . Thank you for you patience at this crazy time xo Miss you all so much !! . Love always Dxo See more

Yesterday was my first day back in the salon. I chose to do it by myself to understand and figure out all these new protocols . It’s a lot of extra cleaning but it’s worth it. We were always invested in a clean salon, now it’s ultra clean. Following all of these new protocols are definitely extra time and understanding of it being properly done. Please if we ask you to show up on time, you do still have to wait in your car until we ask you to come in . I did have someone who ...wasn’t my client walk into the salon yesterday with out a mask, so going forward the door will be locked behind each client. . You cannot enter until we clean . Also- please for your first booking back with me, if you are looking for big changes for your hair-it requires more time. If you’ve done your own colour during covid and need a redo- WE NEED TO KNOW Showing up to your appointment I’ve booked out our regular amount of time for you and if you need a big change we simply ask to let us know in advance, we might have to reschedule . Please wear a mask that doesn’t tie back. The tie backs do not work getting your hair done as you can imagine. I’ve tried to order some disposables if one breaks(back order), but I’ve made the salon protocol that you are wearing it before you enter salon. Also wear one that you don’t mind getting colour on . Lastly, THANK YOU! Thank you for loving me as your hairstylist/us and we are the salon of your choice. Your support and loyalty has been so greatly appreciated for our small business. Without you we are a fraction of what we are and how we grow . If you haven’t heard from me yet, I’ll be working over the next week to get everyone else in that was booked with me during quarantine. I promise to get in touch with you all. We thank’d you a couple months ago ‘at this very uncertain time’ and now we thank you for loving us and being so patient with our new salon life. . You are appreciated Love you all xo D #covidsalonupdates #covidsalonstruggles #sackvillehair #sackvillebusinessassociation #sackvillebusiness #salonbookings #sackvillehairsalon #sackvillesalon #halifaxhair #halifaxsalon #halifaxhairstylist See more

We’ve made the decision to close our salon door for the time being as of 9 am March 18th,2020. . It comes with huge heartbreak and fear of the unknown. After much consideration and a lot of talk with small business owners in our industry, we have decided to close in hopes that it will help maintain on our end. . Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement and support. There are a lot of small business’ in the same situation and hopefully we can all power through... . We will be in contact shortly with all of our sweet clients booked in the next couple of weeks. . Thank you for your understanding at this time!! As soon as the smoke clears we will be in touch to rebook all appointments xo See more
