Outside my studio in Eastport NL there is a beautiful, old, weathered hitchin’ rail. It has been used for tethering horses, as a leaning rail for conversation and a perch for all kinds of birds, especially robins.... Some years ago, my beautiful wife Lillian (since deceased) commented that she never had an original painting of mine to call her own. On Valentine’s Day of that year, I gave her the Hitchin’ Rail. My family and friends requested a copy of the painting as a memorial to Lillian, and so the reason for this limited edition print.
