British Columbia invited 87 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on February 23. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot draw issued invitations to candidates under the Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories. Invited candidates who were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories needed a minimum provincial score of 75, which is five points lower than the previous Tech ...Pilot-specific draws of 2021. #expressentry #canada #studyincanada #workincanada #liveincanada #explorecanada #nigerianstudents #nigeriansindiaspora #lagos #accraghana

Canada has required all incoming international travellers over age five to take a COVID-19 test since February 22. Proof of having a vaccine does not exempt travellers from the test requirement at this time. Generally speaking, travellers need to show a test that has been taken within 72 hours of entry at the border or their scheduled departure time.

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) appears to be on the right track to help east coast provinces retain immigrants. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reviewed the AIP in the period starting from when it was launched in March 2017 to the end of the 2019-2020 fiscal year. They wanted to see if the pilot was working as it was intended, to help grow the population and meet labor market demands. The AIP is an employer-driven program. It allows employers in the four Atlantic provinces to hire foreign talent without having to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment, which has been described as an expensive and lengthy process. Through this program, immigrants come to Canada with a job and a settlement plan from a designated service provider.

If you have following the draws so far, you will tell that after a massive Express Entry draw, Canada shows it is serious about hitting its immigration targets. Like most of us know, Canada has set out to welcome at least 401,000 immigrants annually beginning this year, with over one-quarter set to arrive through the Express Entry system. The immigration department is already starting the year off strong. On Saturday, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held... a historically large Express Entry draw with a historically low CRS requirement. There were 27,332 principal applicants invited, who only needed a CRS of at least 75. These candidates needed to be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in order to be invited. This is one of the reasons we have been encouraging prospective immigrants to get into the pool as soon as possible. We can help review your profile and provide assistance when necessary.
