FAWNEE UPDATE: She's is doing fantastic!!! She's eating, sleeping well and is holding her pee until she goes outside! The best news is that she is starting to become more active and looking to explore more. As such, while Jamie is a wonderful foster, he does not have a fully fenced in yard so we are considering finding a new foster home that does have a fence. If you would like to foster Fawnee, please contact me :)
FAWNEE Update: Jamie is still noticing that Fawnee is rarely eating or drinking. Then last evening, while it was raining, she was very anxious to get outside. When Jamie took her out, she began to drink and drink from the puddles. So, that explains it!! She is not accustomed to the metal bowls. Poor girl :( Have a great Friday!!
Fawnee Update: She is doing really well and is getting more relaxed and comfortable in her foster home! For now, due to her heart worm infection, she will not be getting any vaccinations or spayed as we need to ensure that no complications occur. The heart worm medication has been ordered and will be arriving soon. The cost is approximately $1,000.00. Her tick medication for the summer is $56.85... When she is ready to be spayed, it will be done at the Stonewall vet and will cost $140.00 To date, PIPS has raised a total of $107.00 :) Jamie (the foster dad) has also offered to donate half of the vetting costs <3 Now for the fun update... She barked at Dexter the cat for the first time this morning LOL and is going outside now mostly on her own (doesn't need to be carried out). This morning she saw a bunny and actually started to give chase but luckily Jamie had her on a leash so she didn't get very far! She is still getting accustomed to sleeping on a blanket/bed. Thank you Dorothy and Scott Anderson for the bed/pillow and blanket donations!!
Fawnee is with the K9 Advocates Rescue and Plessis Veterinary Hospital https://www.facebook.com/k9advocatesmanitoba/ http://www.plessisveterinaryhospital.ca/
Hello Everyone! Welcome to Heart Beats. This page is dedicated to helping one dog at a time. A special dog with high needs will be chosen and sponsored by this group until they are adopted. With your support/donations, we will provide dogs with veterinary care, bedding, food, toys, treats, etc. All the dogs that will be sponsored by HEARTS BEATS will be from a Manitoba Rescue and there will be constant updates and chances to meet the sponsored dog as they get healthier....
