We are hoping that the cabins will be completed in the next few weeks. Then we would like to move the cabins on the land where young people may go and learn how to build igloos, fox trap, hunt caribou and other wildlife, ice chiselling and fishing, other traditional skills. The students will start in the college preparing to go out by talking to elders and asking questions, making sure all clothing are proper, ensuring they have rifle licences. All preparations needed to survive on the land. Other skills include, but not limited to, map reading, navigational skills, proper rifle handling. Once completed the student will be able to survive on the land with little supplies and know how to get home with their new knowledge.
