Globally this has been a very challenging year for all of us, if there is one thing comes to light, it is the importance of community. Without your support Pitchfork and many other small business wouldn't have made it through. Thank you Nelson.... Burger month brings smiles to the Nelson community every November and this year we want to give back by supporting local, ethical suppliers. All of our burger patties are ground in house from the same cow our staff named Happy. Happy came from Goat River Farms out near Wyndel in Creston, BC. She lived her whole life eating and foraging food from the beautiful Creston valley, so that we could enjoy her for burger month. We believe understanding where your meat comes from should be the main focus as meat eaters in today's society. Farmers like Wendy and Dale McNamer at Kootenay Natural Meats are on top of their game supplying their community with some of the happiest, ethically raised animals around. FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE! Yesterday we made the heartbreaking decision to close our doors, but we don't think that our community should have to miss out on our delicious food in these difficult times. We are leaving the decision in the hands of our beloved locals: Should Pitchfork Eatery offer a food delivery and store pickup service to the Nelson area?... There would be a priority for those in self-isolation, quarantine and elderly. Providing safe, hygienic service will be our highest priority. Other services such as a quick shop at the Kootenay Coop or a beautiful arrangement of flowers from Bellaflora could be added. Let us know, comment or DM us!

It is with heavy hearts that we are closing our doors for the foreseeable future. We have listened to the leading experts and we have decided it is the right thing for our staff and the community to stay home. For almost three years now it has been our great privilege to serve the Kootenays and for now this seems to be the best move we can make for our community.
