A little vid from 8 years ago! Lakeland, North Queensland, Australia. When will I stand in the shadow again?
Here is a great May 20 short film. The annular eclipse chase from back in 2012. Follows eclipse chasers as they seek the bead phenomenon only visible from the edge of the path. Very exciting short! 10 min. https://eclipseguy.com/videos/front-row-universe/
Seen Boxing Day across the Middle East and Asia.
As eclipse chasers, we hear the phrase "once-in-a-lifetime experience" a lot. And it's true. I'll never see totality quite the same way again in Libya, Indonesia or Turkey. But when it comes to a location like Antarctica, I never imagined it would become "twice-in-a-lifetime." As November 23 reminds me of our heroic adventure to the ice continent back in 2003, I find myself getting ready to return to the end of the earth to witness the next instalment of Saros 152 on December 4, 2021. What a life!! Let's revisit the moody, almost-clouded-out experience of Antarctica on November 23, 2003, as an intrepid crew of chasers from around the world became the first humans in history to see a TSE from the 7th continent. Don't miss the end of the video with Mr. Eclipse himself, Fred Espenak!
Just completed another live classroom about eclipses for school children across the continent with Exploring By The Seat Of Your Pants! Love interacting with kids about eclipses!
