The PMP team working at the @kinggeorgehub project decided to collect food and monetary donations for the @surreyfoodbank during the month of December. Jay Shokar joined the Pitt Meadows Plumbing team in June 2020 as HR Specialist. She has been a great addition as she’s passionate about connecting with our employees and seeing them succeed. Her expertise has been key, especially as we’ve navigated the challenges of these past few months. I think we would all agree that this year has had its challenges, but in spite of the challenges, we’ve also been overwhelmed by the successes we’ve been able to celebrate thanks to our team. Several projects are ahead of schedule, we won an award for innovation, the design of our MTR's and how we install them have been improved upon, a key project reached substantial completion right on schedule, and our employees continued to rise and meet countless challenges that came the...ir way. Usually, we would celebrate these, and other significant accomplishments from 2020, at our annual Christmas party, but as we are unable to gather in person we’ve been sharing these moments over social media for the last few weeks. We also wanted to make sure our team knows how much we value them, and their efforts, and that without them, we simply cannot do what we do. So, for the past few months, our Office Manager Nicole Haughton has been putting together hundreds of gift boxes for our extended team which a small group then delivered to each site this week. We are continuing to celebrate our 2020 Red Seal Recipients and the next individual we wish to congratulate is Niklas Pirzek. Niklas joined the Pitt Meadows Plumbing team in February of this year and earned his Red Seal in welding a few months later in June! He is part of the fabrication team at our Shop XL location and works with our Welding Supervisor, Mark Anglin. Niklas has been a great addition the welding team at PMP, it has been a pleasure to work with him and watchi...ng him grow from a welder that had never welded pipe before to learning to weld steel pipe and now running one of the two stainless steel orbital welding machines that we have. Last month, over 35 Pitt Meadows Plumbing employees joined our first ever Movember team. They did exceptionally well, raising over $31,800! Thank-you to the many businesses, partners, clients, family and friends who encouraged us greatly with their donations. 2020 has been a difficult year for many and this was an opportunity to stand behind those who have struggled. That is due to the generosity and kindness of my friends, colleagues and family. But each one of the 30-odd guys that participated has their own story of struggle or concern and their stories all deserve equal consideration.
