Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Generalist will work on a variety of HR initiatives including but not limited to, Labour Relations, Union & collective agreement management, performance process management, compensation analysis, labour compliance, general HR communications, and other projects. Responsibilities: Ensure all HR Labour regulations & practices are in compliance with the applicable employment legislations.... Review and resolve labour relations inquiries and issues. Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the strategic growth of the business. Manage union inquires & partake in collective agreement negotiations. Prepares/revises job descriptions, ensuring consistency of content/qualifications, and participates in job evaluations as required. Conduct termination and exit interview processes and gather insightful employee feedback to identify any company gaps. Provides operational support and advice on group benefits, pension, and the annual performance review cycle and process. Work with the HR Business Partner and other key stakeholders to build and maintain a company-wide compensation and equity strategy. Support with full-cycle recruitment & staffing needs as required. Manage & maintain the company HRIS system, transactions, and updates. Act as backup to other HR team members during vacations. Ensure that inclusion and diversity is promoted and underpins all HR service delivery. Champion and accelerate an excellent company culture with new programs and engagement initiatives. Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery. As duties & tasks as assigned and required. Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and capacity. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or other related discipline. Bilingual English & French written & Spoken. French is a must. Sound knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislations. Experience in a unionized environment (asset). Solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures. CHRP Designation (asset).
