This is my THANK YOU to my circle. Vacation dreams are on the shelf as we deal with the priorities of keeping our families & community safe and have shifted back to priorities involving the most basic needs of life. My month of March was spent in Maui which if you need to shelter in place and isolate it is still good. It is time to be home in Canada and I am so grateful! Now on a strict 14 day quarantine to protect our daughters and community against the virus that has turne...d our world upside down. It was a difficult month of trip cancellations that is for sure. I appreciated the frequent notes of support from friends, clients and fellow travel advisors. I have cancelled all my clients travels through mid June. There were some especially hard days as I shared my clients disappointment. There will be a time in the future where we feel safe again and I will talk travel again and people will revisit their bucket lists. Now we pause. As I went through 2 nearly empty airports I know people are listening. There is hope as people are staying home. Only those needing to get home were travelling. I felt the underlying fear factor around me. My response was to give people what I needed: Space. Respect. A Smile! I have talked to friends and have noticed how our fear of the unknown and anxiety about the future is being processed in so many ways. This is hard. There are many things not in our control. Please love your people and reach out if you want to talk. Travellers will travel again. There is no doubt. However, we are forever changed. It will take time to feel safe. Stay healthy. Help others. Allow others to help you. Be positive. And love harder. Thank you for being in my circle!

Travelling abroad is constantly changing! More & more countries are changing their transit and entry rules for all travellers and moving towards electronic travel authorizations (eTA). Canada requires this for visitors as well.
