How many trees have you planted this year ?

This attachment is courtesy of the World Climate Change Organization. I observe the thousands of acres being scraped cleaned in the City ( ie: Grass, Trees and the Topsoil being piled high by Dozers and Buggies ) and being replace by Strip Malls, Asphalt Parking Lots, Asphalt Roads, sidewalks -- and all these surfaces radiate the sun and the heat . Oh yes , the Developers plant a few trees in the Parking Lots and along the Roads, but they Die and they are not compelled to re...place them -- it is a pathetic joke -- then there is the clear cutting for bush/treed land and the logs being hauled to a Pinnacle Pelletizing Mill in Entwistle, Alberta - another pathetic joke -- cut down trees to chop them up and make wood pellets to be loaded on to CN Rail Cars to be hauled to the Coast , loaded on bulk freighters and shipped to Asia to burn, to produce electricity -- another pathetic joke which does nothing to alleviate the Climate Change Equation.-- See more

TAX TIME once again in Canada , so have given some thought to the environment and Taxes. Trudeau and Climate Barbie have provided Canadians with a Revenue Generator called the Carbon Tax . This carbon tax certainly makes our lives more expensive , but we are led to believe that a Carbon Tax will straighten out the Climate Change problem , yet they neglect to read about the continuous expansion of Coal Mines and Coal Fired Electrical generation plants in countries such as Chin...a and India. These countries have an ever growing demand for electricity hence the cheap way to provide for that demand currently, is coal to burn and generate steam which turns the turbines and gives the population Electricity. India and China do not, nor will they have Carbon TAXES. So I come back to Canada . Trudeau has this big thing for reforestation as he promises to plant a few billion trees to replenish the stock pile of Boreal Forest tree vegetation. Trees will take the Carbon Dioxide in combination with water through tiny pores called Stomata in their leaves and use energy from the sun to turn the CO2 and H2O into sugars. During this process of photosynthesis, the tree releases O2, which is Oxygen from the leave's Stomata. Well knowing this process and the value of a forest on one's Privately Owned land, I asked the question of our local municipality --- " If I leave the 80 Acres of Oxygen producing Forest on my farm, will you folks forgive the land taxes that have been assessed against that Forested land ?" The answer was a big Fat "NOPE." I have been offered a large sum of money to permit a logging company to come in with a diesel propelled Feller buncher and cut the trees down which they would ship off to a lumber mill by diesel trucks .. I would have a pocket full of money to pay the taxes for a few years , but the country would be out 80 acres of Oxygen producing trees , which by the way, also provided homes to Moose, deer, birds , coyotes, foxes etc., I then asked the question of a Tax Lawyer friend -- "do you think the Federal Government would give me a Tax Credit on my Income taxes for the 80 acres of Oxygen producing trees. He laughed at that suggestion , even though he admitted that it was a good suggestion to incorporate into the CRA's Tax agenda. Am I going to go in and cut down the trees on this 80 acres and my answer is a big fat "No." -- I will do my part to produce Oxygen and give the flora and fauna a place to call home. I just wish that government's of all levels recognized the value of Privately owned property covered in Trees. See more

To any and all acting managerial and supervisory staff to whom it may concern, The intention behind this letter is to bring to your attention a mass movement of displeasure, distrust, and unwillingness to remain silent to a number of unethical business and social practices that Heritage Reforestation Inc. (HRI), and its management not only allow, but propagate and in some instances, encourage. This letter also bears with it the intention of being a formal complaint that acco...Continue reading

Covid-19 and the tree Planting Industry is facing a Big Decision tomorrow by the BC Minister of Forests -- "to plant or not to plant," is the question in light of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus .. There are 300 million seedlings to plant but if the decision is a NO then these seedlings are to be mulched as they cannot hang onto them for later planting in the summer as they will simply die -- The communities that are exposed to planting crews don't want these crews to show up in light of the potential spread of this Virus and the ensuing lack of treatment facilities (ie: ICU departments .) Until tomorrow then !!

Pipeline Protests from Coast to Coast protesting the construction of a 42 inch pipeline to bring Natural Gas from north of Dawson Creek, BC to Kitimat BC whereby this Natural Gas will be liquefied and loaded on LNG Tankers and taken to the Asian markets to produce electricity.. Protests that have brought the Canadian Economy to the point of shutting down major transportation corridors. However, the Site C Hydro Electric Dam which is being constructed in Northern BC has been ignored, even though this dam will flood thousands upon thousands of acres of Forested Land, Farmland, First Nations Land. Instead of planting trees.
