Trying to find the perks of quarantine, here's what I've come up with so far: More time to play with making food appealing and aesthetic. Eating times are more flexible, so it's easier to tune in and respond to hunger. Sleeping in / quality sleep helps to feel refreshed and energized. My NUMBER 1 tip is to start with foods and meals you already love, and veganize them You don't need new recipes, just small modifications to the ones you already love. . Craving a burger? Try a veggie version. A burrito? Try a black bean filling. Spaghetti with meat sauce? Try subbing some lentils/crumbled tofu. Chicken souvlak...i? There a veggie versions that are actually pretty . . Good morning loves The weather might be gloomy but these oats sure bring the sunshine vibes! RECIPE Morning Glory Oatmeal - 1/2 cup oats ... - 1 cup of plant-based milk - 1 shredded carrots - 1 shredded apple - 2 spoons dried cranberries - sprinkle of pumpkin seeds - pinch of cinnamon - pinch of ginger Optional cooking tips I cooked stovetop, and add the apple, cranberries and pumpkin in the last second before serving. This kind of cools the oatmeal to a nice warm cozy temperature so it's ready to eat right away BUT you could totally do this one in the microwave too, or even as an overnight oatmeal if you need to save time in the morning! Hi Loves I realize this is yet another SMOOTHIE recipes coming at you this week I promise the next one is going to be pasta or at least not be breakfast . Alright! So this story behind this picture is that I am challenging myself to use what is in my fridge/freezer (house in general I guess?) this week and NOT go out and buy groceries!! Why? Because I am going on vacation in ONE week and I thought it would be a fun little experiment to do! SO today I bring ...you this little smoothie recipe, super simple and quite satisfying! P.S. this is a -less smoothie which is adventurous for me! But surprisingly still tasty - 3 medium carrots - 1 cup frozen mango - 1 cup soy milk - pinch of ginger Blended until creamy Alright loves what do you think? Weird? Creative? High in fibre and anti-oxidants, and oh so good Here is my take on the classic strawberry banana with only 5 ingredients, no protein powder, and over 20g protein per serving Simply blend: 1 cup frozen cauliflower... 1 banana 1 cup oat milk 1/2 cup frozen strawberries 1/2 block extra firm silken tofu PS.
