Hi community! The purpose of this page is to let you know how we will be handling new work over the next, who knows how long. We are working from home and trying to integrate all of this change and to adapt to meet the needs of our community. Tomorrow, Thursday March 19th, is the usual Sechelt Provincial Court's family duty counsel day and ordinarily I would be there all day. As of right now, the court is still open but we have been told by the Legal Services Society, who f...unds our contract, that we can do our work over the phone. We have decided to do that. I will be available tomorrow during business hours to take calls related to family law (divorce, separation, parenting issues, family violence, financial arrangements etc.) and child protection. The office cell phone is 604-399-9563 and I'm up to Facetime if you'd like to try that. Please don't send me any texts, but feel free to leave a voicemail if I am unable to answer for any reason. I think it makes sense to give priority to people who live on the Sunshine Coast, but I don't see any issue with taking calls from people off Coast too. I think this is a great opportunity to get a bit of free advice without needing to drive to Sechelt. Paperwork!
