Finally tried the vegan burger at @crazy_canuck_restauranteh They make an in house quinoa patty and it's DELICIOUS. It has the perfect amount of crunch. As much as I love the faux meat products, sometimes I classic ol' fashioned veggie burger hits the spot! They also have a vegan gravy and incredible french fries. I ate like a QUEEN this week thanks to @honeybeemeals @honeybeemeals is a meal delivery service that serves the Waterloo Region. They offer plenty of vegan options that are packed with veggies! Their meals are of hearty portions to keep you full all day long! My favorite part of this delivery is the variety of the meals. Each meal was unique and distinct in flavour so it never got boring.... Here's what I ate this week: -Tuscan Bowl -Chickpea Shakshuka -Sweet Potato & Lentil Shepherd's Pie -Spinach, Artichoke & White Bean Casserole -Mushroom Power Bowl -Sesame Falafel Ball All plant based and all delicious!! I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I LOVE breakfast foods When I first went vegan, the absence of eggs made breakfast so challenging for me. These days, I'm overwhelmed by vegan options when it comes to brunch and breakfast. Last week, I made this DELICIOUS breakfast burrito with a tofu scramble with veggies, kale, cherry tomatoes, @greengoddessfromagerie cheese (y'all know I'm obsessed with the stuff), and @gardein maple sausage.... I stuffed all this in a wrap and grilled in a dry pan on medium heat. It was delicious and so simple. I hope after seeing this post that you all have the @pizzanova jingle stuck in your head I heard RAVING reviews about the new Pizza Nova pizza with plant based pepperoni from @fieldroast. I do have to say that it was pretty on par with all of the other vegan pizza I've had (?) And I wouldn't say it was particularly noteworthy?... The pepperoni is tasty and the crust is very good. The cheese is SUPER melty...which is nice, but sometimes I find vegan cheese can be too melty to the point where it's creamy? Anyways, I liked this better when it wasn't piping hot, so the cheese had solidified a little! Thoughts on #PizzaNova? 9/10 when I go to @cafepyrus, I get the Big Bang or the Breakfast Griller Recently, I stepped outside my comfort zone and got one of their new menu items - the chickpea melt!! It was super yummy and reminded me of a tuna melt. As always, got a kale slaw on the side and was very satisfied. @osmows @beyondmeat on the sticks We ordered #Osmows for the first time recently on @doordash_ca and it was delicious. I got the Beyond Meat on the Sticks with vegan tahini sauce and hot sauce. It was a delicious, flavourful and grubby meal. Everything on their menu and on door dash is clearly labelled vegan which is SO helpful.... Howeverrrrrr the price point is a bit higher than your average shawarma shop. I think this was $14??? BUT their packaging is paper based, which is uncommon for a shawarma shop sooo you win some you lose some!
