Thank you to Global News for seeing value in sharing this with our community. 15 women & girls were assaulted in our city recently, and this was how I knew I could help. At a time when businesses are closed and there are so many restrictions to gathering, waiting to teach this to people in the community, in-person, would have prolonged a NEED right now, when there is a perpetrator out there targeting women & girls. So while it’s more ideal to practice these techniques in pe...rson, this is what we can do right now. Please keep in mind that these seminars are not only for women & girls, but they are also for men, boys, and families. Resilient communities means inclusivity, and I believe Self Defense should be a fundamental right for everyone. ~Diana

Today was incredible. As someone who usually has a lot of words (I said a lot more than what was in that news clip- I’m without enough words for how much this fills my heart. But I’ll probably ramble on anyways.. Included in my online group today were people from all over Calgary, Edmonton, Slave Lake, various other cities - adults, families, kids - my boys, my sisters, my nephews, my brother-in-law, my friends. Yesterday I decided to do this and pulled it together. TODAY I... connected with the community, gave everyone a taste of what empowerment is via our beautiful art, AND I raised $600 for a charitable cause. HEART IS FULL. THIS IS MY WHY.

Self defense via Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, nature-based lessons, inquiry and reggio-inspired, and an all-around fun, positive, social learning environment for your kids. #Cohort classes means you can take comfort in knowing we are also sticking within recommended guidelines as well.
