What a beautiful afternoon to dig for worms! The children spent almost 2 hours in the dirt pile outside the play yard digging for worms, observing their movement, discussing their biography such as how many hearts they have, where their head and bum are located, and what they eat. Then they were interrupted by a helicopter flying above, which made their day even more exciting! It was a perfect afternoon in the eyes of a preschooler

The children set up their own obstacle course!!!They absolutely love these gym toys!!

Popsicle stick people...after making a dozen of these, they spent their time inside playing in the dollhouse with their families. More proof that you dont need fancy toys to engage in play... you just need an imagination!

The children in room one has been having a lot of fun!!!Some children have been getting use to their new environment and are doing awesome!!!When leaving their parents at the door can be a little upsetting to them upon arrival ,but with the support and consistent routine a child can over come any opstical that may come their way!!!Thanks to the staff and the parents/guardians for helping them to become adjusted to their daily routine and schedule!!You all rock!!Just a few pictures to show how well they are doing.There will be more in the coming days!!

Making marble mazes inside as well as Spending their time outside painting the pavement with water, had the children engaged for at least an hour in the am and pm...they brushed and rolled until the pavement was black with water! They were pretending they were construction workers making new roads. What an awesome team effort by our future community workers!

The children had so much fun at the car wash! And they did a wonderful job! They have also been exploring marbles playing games, marble runs, marble paintings, and magnetic marbles!

When you make the best of what you have to do in the COVID-19 policies.Taking turns going outside in the yard the children are surely enjoying their time painting,washing cars,being a construction worker,and having a good ole game of marbles,a game that was played by many children back in the day!!!and when outside is enough the children are watching a Frozen movie!!!!

We have been so excited about all the beautiful wild flowers on our walks, so we painted cardboard vases to put some fresh picked flowers in. They turned out beautiful

Happy Easter to Everyone!!Hope you are all having fun!We missed doing Easter activities with the children this year but Im sure we will make up for it when we return.These are a few of our previous photos from last Easter .I love to look back at these and see what a difference make in the growth of your children.Some have siblings that now attend our Centre!!!Slow down growing so we can have photos like these to reflect up on !!!God Bless All !!

For those of you that want to keep your children on a routine like we do on a daily basis - 8:00 -9:00 children settle into the setting wether they need to eat breakfast/need those extra cuddles from staff or just want to explore to see what interests they have from the materials we provide on a daily basis. 9:00-9:45 children are usually settled into their routine with free play /wether it be play dough/sand /water / math/block area/dramatic play/science /literacy centre and... creative art.Around 9:30 we let children know that snack is getting ready(free flow)we encourage them to eat but some will say Im not hungry and dont want it but by the time you let them know that snack will be done in five minutes they then go wash up to eat!!bathroom routine is usually around this time or when needed 10:00 small group planned activity with a large group following this is usually in circle time or in the gym. 10:45 bathroom routine before going outside 11:30/11:45 children come in for bathroom wash up before lunch .Around 12:30 children are usually settled on their cots for rest/quiet play.such as books /manipulative toys etc Most children dont sleep but some do need it.Between 1:00 -200 the children have the option to play quietly on their beds or they can do craft,write,read with staff ,and can sit with a friend to play.Around 1:30-1:45 the lights are on and children can do the same as the morning but the ones that are sleeping are not usually up until 2:00. /2:30 depending on their day.We try and get all children up by at least 2:30 usually no later unless they really need that extra few minutes.Afternoon is basically the same as morning but pending on the weather we try to spend much more time outside!!! Today we have started a book bag library. Right now we have only 4 bags for each room. Each bag has 3-4 books, labelled Play Learn and Grow. This is to give children a responsibility and show respect for other peoples property and also to encourage reading at home. If for some reason a book gets torn or misplaced please do not worry, we have lots of extra books! These bags can be returned by the end of the week so other children can have a turn. It was a great morning with these precious little ones!!!!I think they all had a wonderful time at their Christmas Party!!!

Yesterday November 20th was National Childs Day!!!!We took a little walk to the Town Hall.Mayor Barry Manual gave us a tour of the hall and raised a National Childs Day flag just outside !!!We all had a little visit to Common Grounds and they provided us with hot chocolate and delicious cookies!!!!In the afternoon we had a couple visitors from a aboriginal group who sang some songs using their own instruments and language.The children had a great time playing the instruments and singing and dancing in a circle!!!!!!

The children have had a busy week!!Playing games,making crafts,sharing stories spending time outside eating treats!!!!So much more fun to come!!!

The children had soooo much fun today tricker treating at daycare !!!!!The neighbourhood look forward to seeing us every year!!!!

Few activities the children have been participating so far this past couple months.There will be many more in the upcoming months!!!!They are all so sweet!!

I think finally all the new children are settling in!!!!The first time leaving their parents and going to a daycare can be sometimes overwhelming to them.With positive guidance and telling them that you will be back is what they need to hear.We are there to help with the new transitions to make the drop offs less stressful for parents/guardians.Looking towards a fun filled year !!!!!!!

The Children had a great day celebrating the school year end!!!All the children in their hats will be entering into kindergarten in September 2019!!We will all sure miss them but is so proud of them all .The teachers that will get them in 2019 are going to be the lucky ones!!!They are ready for anything that may come their way.They are such polite, caring,intelligent,creative and very loving children!!!

What a beautiful day! The children had a fun morning at the playground, then in the play yard blowing bubbles, playing babies, making mud pies, playing in the water, catching bugs, and riding in the cars.
