As most of you have seen by now. Calgary has also imposed a 2 week lockdown of team training events. It unfortunately directly affects and has essentially cance...lled this season's Combine in both cities, but we understand the decision made in both cities, and believe it is the correct decision to help quell the resurgence of Covid-19. Despite the unfortunate news about the Combines, however, the Online Drafts on November 22nd, and the 2021 NBVL Season starting January 10th, are still scheduled to go as planned in both Calgary and Vancouver! Due to beach volleyball's nature of having only 4 participants on a court during match play(5 including referee), there will be very limited contact between individuals, and so we still believe that we can run a safe and still highly competitive environment for the NBVL season. Remember that athletes who register for the draft, become a part of the NBVL athlete sport cohort, and we will be trying to organize other opportunities to play/train to that cohort, which would include those athletes that go undrafted. All registered athletes will also receive this year's Combine tank top, even though there won't be a Combine. (we'll figure out a way to pass them out to everyone).

We've been quietly enjoying taking a break from, well, pretty much everything. But the time has come to fire it up again. The time has come to lead by example and safely promote the sport we love. Join in, get registered and get ready to cheer us on(line) in the National Beach Volleyball League!
