We are looking for a full time ECE at Play Learn Grow in Bedford. Start date is ASAP. Come and work in a great environment with benefits, on-site parking, on a bus route and more!

We are a family-run small business, owned and operated by three siblings, working in the construction and development field, as well as the childcare field. We are growing and our office is busy, so we are adding a key player to our team. We need a flexible, organized, motivated, detail-oriented person who will serve as our Bookkeeper/ Administrative Assistant. Our new employee will work with the owners, the Directors and employees of our childcare centres and rental prope...rties, as well as our accountant. The role will be working in our new offices in West Bedford, for 3 days a week to start, which may increase, depending on the needs of our businesses. We are looking for someone with experience as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant, to do a wide variety of bookkeeping and office-related administrative tasks, including, but not limited to: o Maintaining our books and working with our accountants on monthly and year-end reporting and bookkeeping o Using Sage and Excel for the above, as well as for preparing invoices and maintaining records o Following up with o/s payments, returned payments, etc. o Paying bills, filing, handling mail, general admin work o Reconciling statements o Ordering, purchasing and managing supplies o Dealing with rentals for multi-unit buildings, at different locations, inputting pre-authorized payments, managing rent increases and communications, dealing with building managers, following up on returned and outstanding payments, vacancies, etc. o Dealing with suppliers and trades o Calculating and entering payroll o Completing forms for government grants/subsidy o Updating Facebook pages and website o Designing monthly newsletter o Other duties as needed Requirements: Experience as a bookkeeper and an administrative assistant Experience working with Sage A vehicle is necessary for some travel between our locations Only those considered for an interview will be contacted
