As I reflect back on 2020, it was a year of service. I was hoping at the beginning of the year, to do 50 acts of service with just my photography in honour of my milestone birthday. Throw in a worldwide pandemic in the midst, and it got me busy doing other things, too. Here are some of my highlights! - Honouring Valentine's Day, with the congential heart kids, and more! -Photographing toilet paper, as people requested photos of it, for gifts for mockups. - Creating ...Lawn Signs, for those graduating this year, that missed out on some recogniton. - Giving away some complimentary photo sessions and special pricing. - Donating to the Food Bank, with your help of generous birthday gift bags. - Becoming a drop off/pick up centre, for YYC Mask Makers, I had anywhere from 100-1000's fabric masks, materials, t-shirt ties, in my dining room, to put kits for sewers, and to give to people to wear for free. In total, the group, made over 45,000+ masks in the city, before masks became more available. - Caring for my mom when she had a knee replacement. - Working with Santa, who didn't want to be in the big southcentre mall this season. - Taking on dogs, with our Santa Sessions this year, with the help of my collegue, Lisa, with SavvyCatphotography.ca It validates our role as photographers, and the importance, especially when we discover, just 3 weeks later, 15.5 year old Samantha, the black poodle passed away. - Enrolling in a food photography course, and giving away food! - Winning an auction, that benefited "Make-A-Wish Canada", with only 2 days notice to go photograph in a sunflower field! - Seeing Charity, be well and so excited to see Santa this year. - Seeing a few babies, be with Santa for the first time. - Being safe from the skunk, that almost got me! - Having friends, that will help me with my creative ideas of fun backdrops, and making them come to life! - Celebrating Birthdays with children, that I know who love fairies. - Photographing a variety of family combinations and showing their connections. Thank you, for making it a fun year, despite the challenging circumstances!

One of the special heart children that I have photographed, is illustrated in this book. By helping to support this local er nurse/author & illustrator, will also help the alberta's children hospital, as she donates half of her proceeds back to the hospital. https://www.cbc.ca//nurse-book-children-christmas-1.5814726
