LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Saturday 17th October, 2020. UNWAVERING FOCUS ON THE WORD But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of liberty are fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by itthey experience God’s blessing in all that they do! James 1:25 TPT... You must learn to deal with your concentration when receiving the Word of God. This is very important. Don't be in church or anywhere else the Word is being shared and be distracted, doing something else other than participating with the Word. Satan always wants to distract you so you don't get blessed of the Word. He brings all manner of thoughts (and of course, some may be nice, but not right for the moment) to steal your focus. For every time you begin to hear suggestions of things to do outside of what you should, ensure to consciously redress your attention so you don't miss out on anything the Holy Spirit is doing in that moment, because if the devil succeeds in stealing the Word from you, he has stolen a beauty from your life. You need to understand that the Holy Spirit will always use the Word of God to deliver the will of God. You are the Word of God but because you were raised without the Word of God, you are ignorant. So, you need to read the Word of God and stay with the Word for you to understand how you are the Word. Physical action isn't enough to change; it has to be the Spirit of God meeting with the actions of the Spirit of God so they can synchronize to produce the will of God in your manifestation. FAITH CONFESSION My eyes are continually fixed on the Word. I don't subscribe to distractions of the devil, no matter how subtle they creep in. My focus is undivided, my heart is unadulterated and my eyes are singly gazed on the Word. FURTHER READING Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 4:20-23; 2 Corinthians 3:18. LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Friday 16th October, 2020. BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 KJV... The opening scripture says that we shouldn't conform to this world, but be transformed (metamorpho, which means a gradual change) by the renewing of the mind. Why did Paul use the word, be not conformed to this world? We've been programmed according to this world and that programming is at variance with the Word of God and that's why it has to be demolished by the Word, in order to have the soul renovated. How do we metamorphoo? How can our mind be renewed? It cannot be renewed when we don't hear the Word over and over again. What you conform to, will determine where your mind will be. So, if you are a Christian and you are conformed to this world, then you are double minded. In that state, you cannot be having manifestations that are holy or acceptable unto God in character - manifestations of godliness. What's stocked up in your mind? Is it full of the Wordnot in head knowledge but in usage? What do you think about all the time? Is it the structure of this world or the structure of the Word of God? This determines why you perform how you perform. Once you are full of the Word, your body will be a living sacrifice used by the Spirit to achieve God's will and that is a genuine worship to God. FAITH CONFESSION I am full of the Word and my mind is renovated thereby. I am conformed to the Word, not the structure of this world. The Word of God is my programming, mentality, cogitation, and entirety. Hallelujah! FURTHER READING James 1:22-25; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 4:23. LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Thursday 15th October, 2020. IS THIS YOUR PASSION? The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.2 Peter 3:9 BSB... God's patience is due to His love for us, so that more may find repentance. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:4 that God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is God's desire; is it your passion? Until His desire becomes your passion, you don't understand His love - your values are not rightly aligned. The Lord's patience brings salvation - that is, it gives more opportunity to win more people, and help many more find His love that will not have them to perish. Do you realize that God is so full of love that you didn't need to beg for Him to come save you? It was His own initiative. Likewise, be full of His love that you go all out for souls - within His allowances, of course. Labour for souls. Don't let earthly values take you off the values of God. Love His appearing because it will cause you to labour more in His will. When you see people acting outside of the will of God, don't just feel bad for them, pray for them because you see people whom the god of this world had blinded their eyes. FAITH CONFESSION Like John, I have no greater joy than to hear that people walk in truth. My values must remain aligned to heaven's values. I don't care if it makes sense before anybody; I just want to make sense before the Creator. FURTHER READING 1 Timothy 2:4-6; 1 Peter 3:15; 1 Timothy 1:16. https://www.facebook.com/AnointedPreston/

LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Wednesday 14th October, 2020. BE GRATEFUL BUT DON'T BE COMPLACENT. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.... Philippians 3:13-14 KJV Sometime ago, I said to the Holy Spirit: Wow! There is so much more to accomplish. He said, Before you begin to plan all the many things you hope to accomplish, be grateful for the ones you've been empowered to accomplish. Learn to be grateful. If you can be grateful, you will find real energy to pursue what's next. People who are not grateful find it difficult to pursue the things they ought to. This is the flip side, however: when you are so grateful of what you have become, that you don't critically look at the things you have to put in place in order to achieve the things you ought to achieve, you may be glorying but God is not excited about it. Paul said, ...this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. You must be ready to press on; don't be comfortable in complacency. Complacency is so expensive that a wise man cannot afford it. Work harder so you can do more for the kingdom. We are always grateful to God for where we are and then we push forward because there are always better days ahead. PRAYER Dear Lord, thank You for how far you have brought me. Words are truly not enough to express my gratitude to you. Nonetheless, I refuse to be complacent; I press on to accomplishing greater things in your will. I'm sold out to manifesting Your will on earth with my every breath. Amen! FURTHER READING 1 Thessalonians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27; Philippians 3:8; 1 Timothy 6:12. LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Tuesday 13th October, 2020. KEEPING RECORDS While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost...John 17:12 KJV... Success in business rests on good record keeping practices. Without good records, it is simply impossible to determine the financial condition or profitability of a business. When setting up a company, regardless of the size, there are requirements under the Companies Act regarding the maintenance of books and records. Imagine what lengths we go for an earthly business as against the Father's business. How can we keep proper records of things that pertain to money - the lesser things of life - but don't have a proper record for souls? Growing up in the faith, we'd have a book specially dedicated to writing to the Holy Spirit. In it, we express our love for Him, our impart on souls, the things we're struggling with and how we need Him to help us, etc. This helped to keep us conscious of Him and all that matters to Him. Many are failing in the Spirit because they do not keep record of the things of the Spirit. We are to bring forth fruit and our fruit ought to remain. If this is your reality, how will you not keep record of this? The carnally minded would rather keep scores of a suffered wrong, even go as far as having a black book for offenders, but never keep record of things of eternal value. Keep track of your soul winning activities; don't be unwise about this. Jesus kept records of souls. He said, ...I kept them in thy name...and none of them is lost... Remember, the faintest pen is better than the sharpest brain. FAITH CONFESSION I give attention to what truly matters. I build a thriving relationship with the Spirit of God. I don't lose track of all that God has entrusted to me. I am a faithful steward. FURTHER READING Philippians 3:13-14; 2 Timothy 4:7; John 15:16; 1 Corinthians 4:2. LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Monday 12th October, 2020. RAPTURE WAS A GREAT SCARE Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 KJV... Growing up, I couldn't accept any message on grace for many years because I had been raised in law. I felt grace was unfair on all those who followed law at the time. Where I was raised, mere talking with a sister felt like a grievous sin. In fact, the practise of Christianity was a huge burden. One where, for every time I had thoughts concerning rapture, I'd kneel down and beg for forgiveness. This, I'd repeatedly do, seeing that I didn't want to take any chances of missing the rapture. Oh, how rapture was a great scare! Unfortunately, it ought not to be so. When Paul preached about the coming of the Lord in 1 Thessalonians 4:18, he said, Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Hence, we are not afraid of His coming. Rather, we are excited to get out of this corrupt world. Rapture should be comfort to believers and not a scare. This subject shouldn't be taken as grounds to threaten the church. But Pastor, 1 Thessalonians 5:2 says that Christ will come like a thief in the night. See verses 4-5: But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light... Therefore, to whom will Jesus' appearance be like a thief in the night? Unbelievers, not us! We will know, but we do not know the time. When it is time for Him to come, we will feel it in our spirit. So, keep preaching and winning souls. As a matter of fact, do not do this for the fear of hell but for the love of God. FAITH CONFESSION Daily, my passion about matters of the kingdom is sponsored by Your love, as I await your return, Lord. How can I be scared of meeting the One for whom my heart beats?! Such great comfort it is to be with you on that day. Glory to God! FURTHER READING 1 Corinthians 15:52; Revelation 11:12; Acts 1:9-11. LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Sunday 11th October, 2020. THE FATE OF THE ONE WHO LOVES PLEASURE. Whoever loves pleasure will be a poor man; he who loves wine and oil will not be rich.... Proverbs 21:17 ESV Did you see what the opening scripture says about the one who loves pleasure? He will be a poor man! You see, the love for pleasure has dire consequences. The one who is addicted to thrills lives an empty life because the pursuit of pleasure never gets satisfied. Unfortunately, a lot of people love pleasure just to impress others, make them feel good and garner praises from people. Jesus said that a man's life does not consist of the things that he has (Luke 12:15). Regrettably, the world defines a man's life by his networth - or by the wealth he has accrued over the years. This is totally not in line with the will of God, seeing that we came into this world with nothing, and we will certainly leave with nothing. Solomon cried out: all things are vanity. Everything that is owned by flesh is vanity; no matter what you have, it will not last forever because it will end with this world. Little wonder Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 6:17 says, Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. When you trust in God and not in uncertain riches, even if you have a lot of wealth, you cannot live for thrills because you'd always be ready to respond to the will of God with your riches. FAITH CONFESSION My life is deeply and firmly rooted in the will of God. Nothing thrills me more than kingdom matters; I find them a beautiful addiction to live by every single day, and this feeling never gets old. Hallelujah! LOVELIGHT DEVOTIONAL Saturday 10th October, 2020. HOW NOT TO BE A CASTAWAY. But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. 1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV... Stop trying to look at how people are wrong but focus on yourself because when you get to heaven, you will be judged for your own actions and not someone else's, except for an action that the Lord told you to correct that you didn't. All men shall give account of the works they've done with their body, thus Paul said that he keeps his body under subjection; he disciplines his actions to work the righteousness of the Word of God; to perform according to Christ, so that his work would not be disqualified. The word, castaway, has been used to threaten us for a long time. It doesn't mean we would go to hell. It just means to be disqualified. If you get disqualified from the race in eternity, you would still go to heaven but you would not receive a reward. This is what 1 Corinthians 3:14-15 explains: If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. I always like to tell people that, as important as making heaven is, there is something else that's equally important and that's your labour in eternity that will earn you an eternal reward. The reward is a function of your labour of love and not your labour of law. Please note that Heaven was given to us as a gift from God when we believed Jesus and not a place we have to labour to enter into (John 3:16). FAITH CONFESSION I put my body under subjection and I labour rightly in eternity. I don't yield to the manipulations of the flesh; I am yielded to the life of the Spirit. Hallelujah!
