Some may say this is the difference between a good builder and a great builder. Extremely high humidity levels these past few days onwards and we just completed our stamped concrete driveway in our Lawrence Park project. To mitigate the chances of cracks and allowing for a proper cure we returned several hours later to hydrate the concrete, poly, then additional hydration on top. Spent a few days blowing out a block wall in a 2nd floor mezzanine for a new commercial client to forklift their products up and utilize this vacant area. Recirc. pumps, 1 of 2 furnaces, HRV system, sewage ejector, sump pump, radiant heat manifolds to control the basement, driveway, and all washrooms. Trimming out this entire Yorkville condo. Upon removing all the existing casing we were faced with steel knock down frames on all the interior doors which means there were 2 layers of casing to deal with. Today we framed the underside of the suspended garage slab which will be a large theatre room in the home. Given the slab had a continuous slope of 3.5 over 16’ we had to get a little creative to maintain a perfectly flat and level ceiling. We took leftover LVL’s and ripped them to scribe a level surface to the concrete ceiling and used 2x4 cleats with tapcons to secure everything.
