MORE BIG BIG NEWS!!! The Community Arts Council of Fort St. James has recently been approved for a Capital Projects Community Gaming Grant support by the Province of BC valued at over $60,000 that will fund the construction and reconfiguration of a new kitchen, bathroom and office at the Pope Mountain Arts Centre! Dado Construction was the successful bidder and renovations will commence next month and wrap up just in time for our upcoming Art Shows this spring. Congrats Dado...! We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to help move office furniture this Saturday January 30th at 9am. Please call or text 996-8163 to get involved. More hands makes for light work!

BIG BIG NEWS Fort St. James!!!! The Community Arts Council of Fort St. James and Pope Mountain Arts Centre have been approved for the Arts Infrastructure Program Grant Funding towards Pottery & Weaving Studio Equipment through the BC Arts Council and supported by the Province of BC. This grant will be funding 4 brand new Shimpo VL-Whisper Pottery Wheels AND 2 brand new Production Kilns valued at over $20,000.... The grant is also funding 4 Looms, 1 Drum Carder and 1 Spinning Wheel for the Weaving Studio valued at over $13,000. We are absolutely thrilled with this news and the opportunities it brings to the community. The equipment is set to arrive mid summer pushing our opening date back to the fall 2021. Thank you BC Arts Council & Province of British Colombia!

The Community Arts Council of Fort St. James would like to extend a HUGE thank you to New Gold Blackwater Project for their generous contribution of $1,500 towards the PMA Pottery Studio! These funds were put towards completing the first phase of construction and towards a portion of the cost for 1 brand new pottery wheel! Thank you so much!
