I was commissioned by Calgary Read to build this little reading area and book storage for The Calgary Cottage Society. My good good friend @karenscarlettart asked if I was interested in doing some work for them and I was an absolute yes...Karen and I go back 31 years...wow!!! While I was putting it together I saw this little girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old looking in the window. As I was walking out to my truck she was still there and looked over her shoulder at me and excitedly said ‘Thanks for building that house...’. She was so cute! It kind of made me a little misty eyed...

Gotta love it when the bride stops to take photos of the photographer doing what he loves to do! Very serious teasers to come from Kailey and Justin’s big day...they went so far the beyond the extra mile on a cold day!!! @lyn.chapman your flowers...your art was out to the test and it couldn’t have been better!!!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since my hero my dad passed away. I doubt there is a day has gone by since then that he hasn’t entered my mind. I can hear his voice and laughter which are two of my favourite things about dad. When he really let go of his laugh it was impossible not to laugh too. His love for his family, his kids in particular was fierce and as loyal as it gets. You never ever doubted his love, ever! That is one thing I do my very best to show m...y kids every day...the same love I felt from dad. I wonder what some of the conversations we would have now and share in more laughs together. For some reason I know he would look at the kids and be proud...that always brings a bit of a tear to my eye but followed quickly with a smile. If I could have a take back it would be spending more time with him just listening to what he has to say. I would thank him for everything he has done for me, I would hold onto our hug a little longer... See more

I may have taken aging my jean jacket too far...just kidding!!! It’s been outside for a couple of months and It will stay outside until Spring. I may wash it and then it should be exactly where I want it to be...after I cut the pocket flaps off...then it should be good to go...we’ll see.
