On Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we want to acknowledge the strength of our clients for navigating a world that was designed for and by able-bodied humans. Whether it's digital accessibility or physical accessibility, we are working towards lowering barriers for our clients to participate as their full selves in the world. If you're searching for some books to add to your summer reading list, Massy Books has curated a small catalog to consider. Please feel free to add more book recommendations in the comments below! #GAAD #GAAD2021

Explore this online store + informative blog for people with disabilities! "Knowing that I could make clothing with purpose, that made a difference in people’s lives, I went all in on IZ Adaptive, and focused on making fashionable clothing for wheelchair users. It has been educational from the start, and brought me so much joy creating clothes that help people live with style, comfort, freedom and dignity." - Izzy Camelliri on her IZ Brand... https://izadaptive.com/
STUDENT AND BUBBLE PEOPLE Registration opens! NOV 1st, 2020 @ 7:00am... As we are sure you are all aware, this year every student (unless already directed by VASS) will need to bring a support person to their lessons. This person needs to be able to ski or board at a similar, or greater, level than the student. We affectionately call these people the BUBBLE PEOPLE. Both STUDENTS and BUBBLE PEOPLE can get their profiles completed NOW at www.vass.skiportal.org and then on Nov 1, 2020, at 7am when the registration for students opens, you can jump into the student profile and sign up for the program you want. Due to limited numbers this year, we are asking that each student only apply for 1 Program. These programs are going to fill up very quickly as we only have half the capacity of last year. Then, as quickly as possible (likely within a couple of days), we will accept students into to each program. Then, you will be sent a link to make the payment for the program. Please click here to see a short video with everything you need know about signing up a STUDENT and click here to learn about signing up as a BUBBLE PERSON. If you have any questions, please call James to get answers quickly at 604-646-8277
