How do you, or could you, actively use AI and ML in your strategy? There were so many takeaways from Quantcast ‘s CMO, Ingrid Burton, in her session The 3Ps of Demystifying AI for Marketers. She focused on simplifying the concepts of AI and Machine Learning for marketers. That being said, AI and Machine Learning is math. Not in a scary way, though. Data + AI/ML = patterns, preferences, and predictions = understanding your customer. AI can be used in marketing to increase sales, precise tactics, lead generation and building loyalty. Humans can create the models that AI and ML work through and apply to millions of data points to inform your decisions.

Sitting in on the digital transformation of personal wellness had us curious how quickly the in-person fitness industry adapted virtually. Mindy Grossman’s rapid adaptation with Weightwatchers made our jaws drop. In the matter of six days, Weightwatchers worked to train 14,000 coaches and guides to lead all workshops in 12 countries virtually when people in lockdown needed fitness and structure. The Weightwatchers app is now tailored to support members physically and psychologically. The more you engage with the app on a personal level, the more the app becomes personalized to you. We sat in on Consumer-Driven Demand Next-Gen Tech with MediaLink, Snap Inc., Visible, Timehop, and Universal Music Group. Now we will lead with some good news for all the other marketers out there: Absolutely no one knows what they’re doing. Marketing playbooks are going on the window; improv is becoming a well-practiced skill as we are all flying by the seat of our pants. Usually, we would be able to do experiments and A/B testing to see what new things we can do within our marketing plan. There wasn’t necessarily time to plan things out as we would normally. Sometimes we just have to take an idea and run with it. So take a breath. We are all doing the best we can right now. #CES2021 #innovation #strategy

Today was our second day at CES 2021! We started the day off right by listening to Digital Transformation and The Connected Consumer led by Procter & Gamble’s team of Vittorio Cretella and Tiffani Sossei and KOHLER Power - Generators’s Jon Chong. The mantra of always keeping the consumer at heart rings true. Everything you do as an organization should start and end with the consumer. Staying close to your consumer using the data given to you by the consumer’s smart products gives you a continuous feedback loop that is predicated on research, innovation and delivery in the form of AI. This loop strives to make that a reality for every Procter & Gamble and KOHLER Power - Generators consumer. #CES2021 #DigitalTransformation #Artificialintelligence

The last seminar we visited was The Rise of FinTechs Has Consumer Financial Behaviour Changed Forever? Guest speakers Ginger Baker, Head of Financial Access for Plaid and Erika Wood, Head of Payment Partnerships for Stripe considered how the world implemented a rapid movement into digital commerce that could have been five years into the future. The focus on delightful convenience has now shifted to control and security as more users strive to protect their physical health ...by managing their financial services at home without ever having to go from home. This has been made possible through companies, such as Plaid and Stripe who allow individuals to purchase and pay for items without having to leave the comfort of their own home.
