Happy first day of June! Point Grey Plumbing & Heating would like to remind everyone to keep an eye on their sewage and drainage and watch for any problems. If your sewage line is located near trees or shrubs keep in mind that the roots from those can cause issues and blockages within the line, not just what is being put down the drains. If you notice your drains are starting to drain slowly, are backing up into a sink or tub, or not draining at all, please call us and we will have a technician there to come and inspect the lines for you.

With the weather getting warmer, Point Grey Plumbing & Heating would like to remind our customers to make sure that their plumbing is prepared for the Summer. As peoples water usage goes up in the summer, we wanted to share some things that you could look for around your home to prepare it for the summer. Do a walkthrough of your property, check for any leaks that could be coming from your faucets or pipes, as well as checking your toilets for any leaks it could have. Keep a ...lookout for any water pooling that could be in your yard, as well as if you have a sprinkler system, check that the sprinkler head doesn’t have any blockages from dirt or other debris to prevent a buildup of water pressure once the system is turned on. Keep an eye on your pipes and hoses attached to your home, the heat can cause them to expand, if they expand too quickly this could cause them to crack.
