Are you concerned about pollinators and their habitat in Guelph and Wellington County and want to help? Are you part of a non-profit organization? Pollination Guelph has just launched our 2021 Call for Proposals for our Community Grant Program, which will provide grants of up to $1000! Visit https://www.pollinationguelph.ca/community-grant-program for more information. Deadline is March 1, 2021.
Don't forget to apply for our Community Grant Program! Despite the unprecedented challenges of COVID last year, nine community organizations from Guelph and Wellington County were chosen to receive grants to expand pollinator habitat and raise public awareness about pollinators. This year, we would like to keep the momentum going by once again offering grants of up to $1000 to fund projects related to increasing/enhancing pollinator habitat, educating the public about poll...inators, and/or conducting research at PG sites. For more information about the grant and to download the application form, visit our website at www.pollinationguelph.ca/community-grant-program. Application deadline is March 1st, 2021 at midnight.

A big thank you to all of our #volunteers over the course of 2020. Despite COVID-19 you still helped make a difference for pollinators in #Guelph and beyond, through planting and maintenance of plantings, videos, presentations, social media, board direction, and more. Bravo!

We've got another sunny fall day in Guelph today, but STOP! Don't rake those leaves, don't cut those plant stems down. Watch our latest "how-to" video for tips on how to prepare your garden for fall, the pollinator-friendly way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAiE9nf_KV8
Yup, it’s that time of year when the leaves fall and gardeners want to tidy them up -- but wait, there are many good reasons for keeping the leaves. Not necessa...rily all of them or everywhere they fall, but there are plenty of places in your garden where you can #leavetheleaves. This week’s blog, written by Scott Black, explains more. https://xerces.org/blog/leave-leaves-to-benefit-wildlife

Congrats @cityofguelph for putting in a diversity of #pollinator friendly #nativeplants near the boathouse. It will beautify the area and help the Eramosa and Speed River corridors benefit more birds and bees and wildlife in general. @GuelphToday article: https://www.guelphtoday.com//covered-bridge-will-come-up-r
