Day 2 on extra income Part-time job This requires time management and a urge for a goal that is very important. You would be giving up free time to gain more income but for most people there is less stress in this position as it is not for survival and if you change your mind, life as you had before will continue. #financialplanning #dreamcoach #heretohelp
Two weeks ago we talked about HEALTH. We went through Cash flows in and Cash Flows out - these are important when you look at the big picture and realize a huge factor in your health is STRESS. Having enough money coming into the household as you need to spend on expenses, reduces worry and provides a sense of worth. But how do you go beyond survival? How do you get more income is our focus this week. OVERTIME:- more money, more income tax; less time to spend money, more money to put towards a dream/goal. #financialplaning #dreamcoach #heretohelp
Well another week gone and Day 5 Savings - my favourite subject and to me the success we all seek - money in the bank when we desperately need it. Maybe an emergency fund, downpayment fund, vacation fund, college fund, retirement fund, etc. Please plan to save and spend the rest. #financialplanning #dreamcoach #heretohelp
Day 3-4 Variables These are the payments that can be higher one month from another or lower, dependent on your spending. This for most people who want to clear their balances out every month or pay the minimum balances to stay current are items like credit cards, lines of credit, etc.
Day 2 - Other items on the Cash Flow out are DEBTS Car loans, Student Loans, Membership Fees, Personal Loans. Although they may be regular payments, they are not for survival, housing or health and if stopped you could still continue with life. However, they can cause you a lot of grief and concern if out of control.

There are two sides to a scale and to balance cash flow out (last week posts) this week we will do cash flow out - fixed expenses, debts, variables and savings Day 1 Fixed expenses, costs that do not vary - rent/mortgage loans, car, life, medical insurance, utilities (gas, hydro, water/sewer), taxes etc.
Day 4 - Pensions & Registered Retirement plans Personal pensions Generally held by an insurance company that will provide a benefit for a period of time or life. Company pensions A commitment by the employer to put in money that will provide a benefit for a period of time or life. RPP, RRSP, & RRIF plans are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and can involve employer/ee or just personal money.
Day 3 - Benefits Are you receiving all the Government Benefits you can?#financialplanning #dreamcoach #heretohelp
Day 2 - Salaries a fixed regular payment, typically paid on a monthly or biweekly basis but often expressed as an annual sum, made by an employer to an employee. As of September 2016, the average wage for Canadian employees was $952 a week or just under $50,000 a year. This represents a 0.4% increase over the same period last year. Here’s a look at the most recent average Canadian salary by province (or territory): Newfoundland and Labrador $52,572... New Brunswick $44,044 Nova Scotia $44,326 Prince Edward Island $43,239 Quebec $46,114 Ontario $50,589 Manitoba $46,363 Saskatchewan -$51,057 Alberta $58,133 British Columbia $47,914 Yukon $54,367 Northwest Territories $73,221 Nunavut $65,403 See more
Day one - wages What are they? They are the regular fixed payment paid on a daily or weekly basis, made by employer to employee. However Henry Ford put it a different way, he says "it's not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages". Have you set put it on paper, looked at your deductions?
Having spent time with my 92 year old parents, I am again realizing that HEALTH has to be everyone's number one priority. Without this one item all dreams and goals will change - especially financial ones. So this month my focus is on how to balance our financial dreams with your bank balance for a health outcome. We will start with wages, salaries, benefits, pensions & retirement plans, and investments.
I apologize that doing posts whilst looking after my parents is going to be a challenge - but I will keep trying. I hope you are working on your goals and I will be back as soon as possible.
