If your pond water is filled with an excessive amount of nutrients it will be able to provide enough for the hyacinths to bloom. ... OR Place your hyacinths in a tub of fertilized water.Leave in water until they being to bloom, remove and thoroughly rinse the roots before placing them back into the pond. Its nice to go back and see our commercial projects once the landscaping is all done. COVID-19 Public Relations Release Hello Everyone: The management team here at Aquatopia Conservatory has been closely monitoring how the COVID-19 outbreak has b...een evolving, and how we can best prioritize the health, well-being, and safety of our customers, employees and communities. In response, Aquatopia Conservatory has implemented the following actions and decisions based on recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada and Ottawa Public Health. Retail Showroom Measures Aquatopia management has temporarily closed our retail showroom until Tuesday, March 24th, to allow for a period of commercial distancing between clients, staff and suppliers. Please note that this closure may be extended should circumstances change. Our staff has also increased the frequency of cleaning in our facility, including the disinfection using quaternary ammonia based sanitizers (QUAT). This class of products is commonly used in the health care industry for pre-operative disinfection, and in the food service industry for hard surface sanitization. Upon arrival at our facility, all visitors to Aquatopia Conservatory are now required to proceed first to one of our lavatories to wash their hands according to Ottawa Public Health standards. Aquatopia management now requests that everyone working or visiting our facility keep physical interaction at a minimum and remain at a distance of 2m from others. All employees have been briefed regarding the adoption of these hygiene practices, including frequent hand washing, to do our part to help prevent the spread of the virus. As a preventative measure, we are asking that all employees, suppliers, and customers who are returning from abroad, or who are experiencing flu-like symptoms, stay away from Aquatopia and remain at home until a clean bill of health can be ascertained. Aquatopia Wedding & Events Department Measures March Event Cancellation Pursuant to the measures put in place by the Ontario Government, all public and private events scheduled to take place at Aquatopia Conservatory have been cancelled up to March 31st. Wedding & Event Postponements If you have a previously booked wedding or event scheduled to take place prior to June 1, 2020, and you have any concerns about whether or not your event can or should proceed, our events management team is here to help you with any of the logistics or format changes, including moving your event to a future available date. For any event scheduled after June 1, 2020, we are still monitoring the situation, and we will be in communication with clients as more information becomes available. Event Planning Activities Until further notice, all face-to-face venue tours, menu tastings and design meetings will be postponed. Our events production team is continuing to work behind the scenes, planning and organizing all upcoming weddings & events, but for the time being, we are heeding the advice from health officials, and limiting our contact with the public until we can ensure the safety of our clients & staff. Notwithstanding, we are certainly able to meet with any of our clients virtually via Skype, FaceTime, and may video chat formats to help keep your event planning process moving forward.
