Over the weekend high winds had Pond Cove Beach and Nature Preserve frothing white with waves. Gulls and seals were seen playing and feeding in the surf.

The swells this afternoon were amazing! Gulls and seals were seen amongst the surf.

Gallery 217 Freeport is an amazing community art gallery with something for everyone's budget and tastes. We took a trip over and saw lots of things we "whaley" loved!

Pond Cove beach day yesterday. Coastal hiking, beachcombing and treasure hunting. Wonderful beach glass and driftwood finds.

The bumble #bees are busy around Brier Island. This one was buzzing around a beach pea flower (Lathyrus japonicus) at Pond Cove Beach. Even the busy need a Brier Island beach break.

The wild roses are beginning to bloom! Soon the sweet smell of roses will mix with the crisp sea salt air making for an intoxicating smell that can not be copied!
