Hello! Welcome! I can’t believe that the site is finally open! This is such a dream come true for me and it’s a sign of good things ahead. I’ve worked so hard on this website to make it look great for both you and me. It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride for a little bit in order to gather some footing in regard to website content and establishing myself. I’m going to use this post to put every bit of information you may want to know about the website in. To start off, I jus...t want to say thank you for visiting the site. Even if just one person visited, I’d be more than happy. I’ve put a lot of time and hard work into making the website into what it is right now and I can’t wait to get started. To be able to watch this site grow and expand is something that’s going to fulfill me like no other. But, I don’t want to do this just for myself, I want to provide enjoyable reads and exposing you to different content that may be out of your comfort zone as well. I’ve had a lot of people ask me what the meaning of PopMackie is. Pop stems from pop music, which is more or less what the website revolves around. Next, Mackie is a nickname that my good friends gave me a few months ago. PopMackie came about in the middle of a deep search of what to call the website and I thought it was perfect because not only was it was meaningful to me, but it was also a play of words for the legendary designer Bob Mackie who’s designed for incredulous pop stars like Cher and Lady Gaga. The name was a perfect fit and here we are, the designing process began. With the name out of the way, what can you expect from PopMackie? I want to use PopMackie as an oasis for discovering new and old pop music. Giving an outlet for what makes pop music such a great experience for me and giving a different perspective on pop music readers love, while potentially discovering new pop music. The website also allows me to be able to dig deeper into pop music itself and create a more expansive library. Being able to deliver all of this in a casual fashion and create some sort of connection between me and the readers is the foundation of PopMackie. All of this said, I can’t wait to get started.
