We don’t know if ‘sexy salt’ is a thing, but if it is we’re pretty sure we found it! Philippe and Carolyn from @saltspringseasalt hand harvest and infuse fleur de sel with lovely natural flavours like Jalapeno Lime, Lemon Zest, Rosemary Garlic, Balsamic, Smoked Mesquite, and Pinot Noir. They are finishing salts that you crush between your thumb and two fingers to sprinkle on anything from meat to salads to eggs after cooking and just before eating. Glorious. Enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone!

It’s Friday!! We brought in some amazing @brant_lake_wagyu prime rib for a Customer.....and it looked so good we couldn’t help cooking up a little for ourselves! Amazing. We have more of that, along with wagyu ribeyes and striploins. All the other goodies available as well (uhmmmm fresh steak burgers), and for you smokers out there, we have lots of tri tip. Silent auction alert!! To help our local food bank, we’ve partnered with Barry Alloway (an awesome customer and photographer) to raise funds and food through a silent auction. The package includes a beautiful framed photo taken in Waterton National Park and a basket of Popowich Meat Company goodies along with a gift certificate for the shop. When you season a prime rib for the Saturday counter and it doesn’t sell....well, you have to do the right thing and take it home and eat it! Treena and Sam made these ridiculously good hot chocolate cookies from @halfbakedharvest. Glorious.

A good Monday night feed. Thanks @thelobstermobsters for the amazing snow crab that led to some awesome crab cakes. A BBQ’d turkey breast, bacon mashed cauliflower, and pan fried green beans. Without the two pints of beer it would have almost been healthy!! Hope you all have a great week.
