As 2020 comes to an end we want to thank everyone for their continued support throughout the year. While faced with on going changes to regulations, lockdowns and an unprecedented Pandemic Poppa Ed's Taxi has managed to rise above, hiring more staff and upgrading our fleet all the while providing the quality customer service you have become accustomed to. We have grown in the industry, with our Accessible Taxi's, Prescription and Essentials deliveries and our Alcohol, Beer... and Wine deliveries. 2020 for us marks a year of growth and milestones, we celebrated 5 years of service to our Community and neighbors. With 2020 coming to an end during a provincial lockdown, our team of drivers will be on standby to make sure anyone who wishes to visit friends to celebrate will have a safe sober ride home. Everything is new this year and we have no idea what to expect, so please be courteous and respectful should we experience ridiculously long wait times as is the norm on New Years Eve. No pre arranged rides will be allowed after 10 pm, all deliveries will end at 6 pm. Not a nice night out at all. We are still running, but experiencing some interesting driving conditions. Please stay home if you can; or be patient if you've called for a ride we will get to you. Our wait times are a little longer, however we do try our best to give you accurate times.

As this first blast of winter settles in, we are doing our best to get around the slippery roads as quickly and safely as possible. Please be patient as we have been experiencing some longer than average wait times.

A big thank you to all of our staff. They have been working extra shifts and dealing with daily protocol changes during this Pandemic. We continue to operate 24/7 with Covid-19 procedures and protocols in place.

Just a little safety tip for anyone who is wondering. Our drivers have the option to wear gloves if they choose. We have provided hand sanitizer in every vehicle. Drivers are required to wash their hands with soap and water as frequently as possible. Unfortunately no policy has been writing for Taxi Companies when it comes to Covid-19 protocols. We are working diligently with staff and customers to provide a safe environment within our vehicles. We continue to operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our community needs us right now more than ever. Help us help them here's how: Exciting news The Fermented Cellar has teamed up with a handful of am...azing locals to create a Community Hub for us to all help one another during this time. This will be downtown's pick-up and drop-off location for all materials, masks, donations etc. You guys do your part, we handle distribution! Here's the scoop: 1 Want to MAKE masks for our community? FREE materials! Buttons, fabric, thread etc. 2 Want to DONATE materials for masks? The following are in hot demand: Needles Bobbins Sewing Scissors Thread Pins Fabric Elastic 3 NEED masks? We will also serve as a pick-up point for masks once they're done! 4 Have some extra food to donate? The Kinsmen Club will be dropping off their big blue donation bins. Let's fill em!! 5 Got some bottles kicking around at home? We will be accepting bottle returns. Proceeds will go to support purchase of more materials. 6 Wanna donate but not crafty or have material? We will be accepting cash donations as well! All funds will be used for much-needed supplies. Taxis are an essential service. Poppa Ed's will continue to provide service to those needing to get around. We continue to maintain safety for our drivers and customers to the best of our abilities. Poppa Ed's Taxi Continues to provide transportation for those needing to get to work or pick up supplies. Our now skeleton staff will do our best to maintain a safe environment to get you where you need to go. Should you find yourself in quarantine and needing supplies please contact us and we will do what we can to help you get what you need.
