Meet Beth Webster: Beth joined the Populus team 6 years ago as the Vice President of Operations. Beth came to Populus with an extensive background in leadership positions and health IT as well as a huge passion for creating change in healthcare, I loved from the beginning that Populus was trying to make people healthier by giving better information. The product was solid and proven and I was interested in taking that further. Here, we believe in a health system not a sick sy...stem. Beth loves the challenge of working in Health IT and truly believes in the ability of Populus as a team to drive healthcare forward; my work here is always challenging and always changing but really it’s the people that I get to work with everyday that make it so special. We believe in the human side of technology. Our tag line ‘What is Technology Without Humanity?’ means something to us and we’ve been ahead of the game the entire time. Our product is about usability it's patient centered, outcome focused and has been since its inception.

Meet Randal Neptune: Randal has been working with Populus for 2+ years as part of the Caribbean implementation team. With an MSc in Information Systems Management with a specialization in Health Informatics, Randal has been involved in developing and implementing Health IT solutions for over 10 years. He is involved in all aspects of implementation from user experience design to software development to overall planning and support. Even with Randal’s technical expertise, he s...till enjoys the ‘WOW’ moments with users ‘There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the expression on a client’s face (and the soon to follow smile) when they have a Wow, this is going to help me do my job so much better moment knowing that I was directly involved in making that moment happen. For Randal, the diversity of our staff and experience from implementing our solution in Canada, Central America, the Caribbean among others, further attests to the global reach and diversity of Populus. With diversity comes different experiences & points of view which lead to more flexible and robust solutions.

Kishore Shallow works as a Technical Specialist on our Caribbean-based team. Currently, he plays an integral role with our product implementation in Barbados, particularly in the areas of training and support. Prior to joining Populus, Kishore served as a Project Lead and System Administrator in the Ministry of Health, St Vincent and the Grenadines. When we asked Kishore what he enjoys the most, he says; ‘Interacting with and supporting users as they adapt to the new softwa...re. It is most pleasing to see someone who was initially intimidated by the use of technology turns around and becomes all smiles when they realize how much easier the same technology has made their life.’ No matter where our customers are, Kishore sums up our focus very clearly ‘We match your existing workflows to our product functionality. This approach ensures strong product adoption and allows our customers clinics/facilities to operate seamlessly.’

Meet Iain MacNeil: Iain has been working with Populus for 10 years and works as our Manager of Technical Support. Iain sees value in data and computing and truly believes that better data and better ways of capturing our data will help solve the world’s largest problems, Computing is entering all of our lives. Everyone wants to be healthier and healthcare right now has the biggest gap but the most opportunity. Computing and creating something that will enable better data col...lection, that’s our answer. I can be part of that, better yet Populus can be part of that. For Iain, joining Populus was an easy decision. Iain wanted to work somewhere where the work he was doing was benefitting people everyday and that’s exactly what we do, The history of our company, and our team were huge factors. Getting to work under John Rutter, and create long standing, respectful relationships has been amazing. Our projects are always about capacity strengthening, and creating more effective workplaces for our clients.
