Last night was a special night at Porcupine Wado - our first belt presentation! Seija was a yellow belt student that left a few years ago but decided to come back to karate last year. After a few months of hard work, she showed us that she was ready to wear her rank once again. Congratulations Seija! Keep up the good work - you're a positive role model to all of the younger students! Next stop - orange belt!

Great class tonight - it was wonderful to have the parents join us on the floor. It also looks like we have an adult class! A few parents (and my son) have decided to follow in their child's footsteps - welcome to the club! Kids will continue to be welcome on Thursday evenings, however the focus will be on the adult students. Sensei Joe and I will be available to help the kids with their techniques and katas. Extra help and practise is always great! Tuesday's class will see both adults and kids together on the karate floor. Have a great weekend and see everyone next Tuesday :)
